Centrally located in North Kona, this house is 15 minutes from the airport, downtown and sandy beaches. It is situated at a cool 1000 foot elevation, and is located in a traditional Hawaiian neighborhood with large lots, mature trees and no street lights.
A long tree-lined driveway leads to this beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. It has an open floor with vaulted ceilings and large windows that overlook beautiful manicured grounds and a lani where you can entertain or relax in the cool trade winds. Beautiful and relaxing
Beautiful neighborhood and property. My friend and I felt right at home the minute we arrived. Colleen and Gary are great hosts, and we are looking forward to staying with them again.

Superb! Better than home.
Colleen & Gary's rental surprised us. We knew it was lovely from the listing, but we saw right away that the photos didn't do justice to the place. It is SO beautiful and light and airy and welcoming, and sparkling clean. We never felt hot because the air flow, high ceilings and fans were more than enough to keep all the rooms cool and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! We loved that there were coolers and boogie boards and even sarongs to borrow. Colleen was super responsive and so gracious! This place feels unique in so many ways. The house was obviously built with care and attention to details, and the decorating felt the same way. We loved the art and the books and magazines which made the house feel so perfectly Hawaiian and also provided great context and information about the island. The lanai was our favorite spot for morning coffee and afternoon/evening beers or seltzers. That view! The neighborhood felt very safe and peaceful. We could see tons of stars at night! We would absolutely love to rent this place again. Thank you, Colleen!

Hemolele
This place was the very definition of Hemolele, it was immaculate. Period. Clean and comfortable. Nothing to nitpick. Everything was as described except better. The lanai was dreamy, a perfect place to have breakfast and visit with family. The grounds were pristine, and we were able to enjoy a limitless bounty of avocados. The master bed was very comfortable, we forgot to find out the manufacturer of the mattress, but we need that mattress. Practicing Yoga while looking at the ocean is stellar (thank you for the use of the mat, Colleen!). We will be back! Mahalo!

My family and I loved our stay. Colleen and her husband were great hosts and you can tell they love the space they have built. We were very comfortable there. You will be too.

Wonderful place to stay
Best vacation rental house ever! Colleen and Gary were amazing hosts. We arrived after dark in a rainstorm. Colleen met us in the driveway and guided us into our parking spot. After showing us around the house (which by the way is even better than the pictures depict) she offered to bring us bagels, butter, cream and sugar (coffee was already provided) so we wouldn’t have to venture out to find a grocery store. Add to that the lovely bowl of fruit she had sitting on the counter, we were set for breakfast. From that moment forward it felt like home. The quality of construction (built by Gary himself) and the cleanliness of the house (cleaned by Colleen herself) made our stay A++++ The decor and attention to detail was above and beyond. We definitely look forward to staying here again!
