Great hotel, wonderful location

"Great hotel. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. The staff was super friendly and the complementary mini bar was unexpected, but a nice touch. Being across the street from Waverley Station, it is not noisy at all. The location is super convenient if you take the train coming to/from London. My only complaint is the bed was a little small. It’s advertised as a king, but in reality, it’s more of a queen/full size. "

quiet and good food

"This was a first stop on my Scotland trip. The check-in was expedient and was given a double bed with bathroom. The radiator did not put out much heat but I draped my rain-soaked clothing over a chair in front of it for a quicker drying. The breakfast was wonderful and well worth the price - get it! The spread was open early with many hot/cold options. The only inconvenience was one entrance/exit. "

"Excellent location, perfect in between old and new towns and seconds from Waverley. Very friendly staff. Rooms soft and comfortable. Everything spotless. Breakfast very good. Some building work going on right outside but no noise. Would definitely stay again."
