Stay here if you want to sleep with cockroaches!
Horrible stay! When we entered our room at night itbwas full of cockroaches everywhere, on the bed in our bags and in our shoes! Receptionist and hotel were aware of the issue butbwere taking chances with guests. Tge momnet i complained they moved us to the newly renovated floor. Even then the room still smelled like drainage and the smell was stronger in the toilet. Avoid this hotel no matter what. Didnt expect Mercure to become such a third rate hotel.

Hotel property was great. Only thing leaving it. Taxi is a must and for some reason you have to pay 25,000rph every time you come back in to grounds. It's not the hotel that's charging its a park where the hotel is at.

c The property was well maintained. However, the room that was initially allotted to us has a terrible odour akin to sewer smell. After highlighting it and requesting for a room change, we we pleasantly surprised with a room-upgrade.

Overrated.
The room Is outdated. The window knobs are rusted. Towels are dirty. They don’t provide hand towels unless upon request. No soap dish on the sink. We booked 2 non smoking rooms and requested for adjacent. Instead got one of the adjacent room and other one down the hall. No availability I’m guessing. throughout the night, can smell cigarettes smoke seeping to our room. Constant loud noise outside the hallways. We booked for 3 nights of stay, After 1 night, we checked out early and adsorbed the cost for other 2 additional nights. For the price, wouldn’t come back.

The hotel was near the beach, however it was unaccessible. It is like a small island by itself with many entertainment parks which is very suitable for families. This is totally not a business hotel, as our Grab drivers have to pay an entrance fee to come in. Upon entering the hotel room, I was greeted with a foul smell and there were ants everywhere. Breakfast was acceptable only, don't expect much. They don't have an egg station. I will not come back again.

Room was quite comfortable, and the breakfast was very decent. It wasn’t too far from Ancol theme park. Would stay here again should I go to Ancol again.

Walls are too thin. Had to move rooms after first night because of kids in the room next door running around and ringing doorbell. Coffee in the room but no kettle to heat the water. When called reception told they had a coffee shop in the lobby. Second room had tiny ants everywhere including in the bed. Ended up leaving at 5 am just to get out of the place. Beds are hard and no choice of pillows. Only over stuffed hard pillows. Again when I asked for a mattresss topper or softer pillows was told they didn’t have any. I spend at least 100 days a year in hotels and this was by far the worst of 2018 Even at checkout when we asked for a letter to show we were guests to get our deposit back for parking they said they couldn’t do it as they couldn’t print at the moment. What a terrible uncaring place. Worst Mercure I have ever stayed in, dordering on worst Accor hotel I have stayed in and I have stayed in all there budget hotels. I very very rarely write reviews of hotels but this one needed to be told. If you want to stay in a hotel in jakarta, choose any but this one.

This is a pretty nice hotel. The rooms are a little small. Most of the staff was excellent, however, one day one of the staff refused to clean my room. Would not clean a room a white man was in. This was the only glitch. The breakfasts were very good.

More than expected!
Was upgraded to larger room. Staff very friendly. Check in was quick. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and large. Had western foods also. Had a little trouble getting answers on shuttles and costs for venues. English a little limited sometimes but we got by.

AMAZING HOTEL - GREAT SERVICE..
It was my first time in Jakarta! I was amazed by the high quality of all the offering during my stay. Great location. Very comfortable. Clean room with very nice views. Buffet is awesome. Service is excellent and staff are superb. Special thanks to Eben who was extremely courteous and wanted to ensure my stay was comfortable and a pleasant experience. Also want to thank Anna for her great service and thank all the staff for making my stay so enjoyable :) I will definitely come back for next time and will recommend the hotel to family members and Friends .

Not somewhere we would use again.
A resort hotels in an entertainment complex. You have to pay to get in to the park to get to the hotel which is not mentioned in any of the hotel information. Be warned.

First time for the whole family at a themed environment. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Service was brilliant and the pool area was just fantastic. Reception however should have informed us during check in that a validation document was required to avoid paying an unnecessary re-entry fee at the gantries whenever we go out beyond Ancol. Guys who manned the gates were very adamant on this. No excuses, even when we offered to get in touch with Mercure for them.

Nice place to stay at Ancol.
The breakfast is somewhat catered towards Indonesians but as a foreigner I was able to find few items acceptable tomy taste. The sausages and bacon are terrible. The hotel is under renovation. Online hotel sites would not tell you if you are getting the old room or the new room. Be aware. The hotel management by the front desk is bit slow. You have to be patient for your turn. Very professional concierge team.

Frustrating at times
Assigned to a smoking floor for some reason initially. Everything in the room smelled of smoke, even the fresh towels. After changing rooms that wasn't a problem. However, the room cards would stop working almost every day, so there was frequent trips to reception to get the programmed again. Pretty annoying when you're in your pyjamas.

Best hotel I stayed in Jakarta. Good aircon in all areas. 24/7 room service, bar , beer , drinks. Feels like resort actually. Have minor problem with my medicine, quickly and professionally sorted by hotel nurse free of charge. Good breakfast.
