What a lovely place to stay. The lounge was well equipped with games for us to play in the evening. The room was very clean, spacious enough for a family of 4. Nice little treat on arrival for a cup of tea. Very dog friendly. Dinner was very good with all homemade dishes and a good selection of wine. Stunning views in the morning of snow top mountains and a delicious Scottish breakfast to set us up for the day. This was a one night stay and was very a short trip to the Loch Ness. Highly recommend a boat trip if visiting.

Local to Loch Ness
I really liked this place. I little quirky and definitely off the beaten track, but such a friendly welcome and the dinner was excellent - great menu; pity I was only there one night. Staff live locally and appeared to be a very happy team.

I don't feel this is a fair reflection of your stay with us as you told us that you had enjoyed your stay but that you had preferred to be in Inverness. We are 25 miles from Inverness and we don't pretend otherwise - there is a location map on our listing and it is your responsibility as a booker to select a location that suits you. We are a rural hotel and most people book with us because of our location in one of the most stunning locations in Scotland. Many of the addresses in Highlands have 'Inverness' in them as it is the nearest city.

The food is especially good at this Inn. The staff in the bar and restaurant are very friendly and provided great service. The bed was very comfortable and the room nicely decorated.

We were here with two young children (3) and (6). This hotel was so incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. They have a playroom, delicious food in the restaurant, and a delightful staff. Everything was welcoming like a home away from home!

This is one of the best hotel stays I have ever had! It’s a lovely old building with so much character, but the rooms are still very spacious. The views out the windows are breathtaking. We lucked out with staying on a Sunday and took advantage of the Sunday roast in the pub downstairs. Best salmon dinner of my life!! The free continental breakfast was also lovely. The staff and owners are all gems! Everyone was so friendly.

Very lovely hotel
Great stay; a hotel with lots of personality and very friendly staff. You do need a car to be able to stay there as it is a little away from the Loch Ness towns.

My daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful stay with this wonderful staff and wonderful hotel! Words cannot describe how gracious, inviting, fun, that the staff is at this Hotel. The rooms were wonderful and the food was exceptional! Kudos to Sarah, Sue and the staff for making this our favorite stay while we were in Scotland for 2 weeks. Anyone looking to stay somewhere where you will definitely be treated wonderfully should make this a must stay! We had so much fun and were so sad to leave but we will be back as a first stop for our next trip! Miss you Ladies!

Best stay of our trip!
We had a magical stay at the Whitebridge! We loved everything from the staff to the charm to the comfort to the pub full of locals to the Sunday Roast! We want to come back and spend more time here and hike and sightsee there is so much to do!!! We highly recommend !

A gem of a hotel and dogs are truly welcome
We had a lovely stay at the Whiteinch hotel. It has its own unique style and we loved it, friendly staff who were so welcome and who really loved dogs and the food, well it was excellent. You need to book dinner if you stay as it’s so popular. breakfast is continental but for a very reasonable surcharge you can have a hot cooked breakfast with a range of options. We were here for business but will definitely be back and would recommend, it couldn’t have been any better.

If you want new on a budget, find a Travelodge, if you can? If you want a hotel with character, history, friendly staff and food to die for, at an amazingly inexpensive price, recommending incredible value for the price, stay at the Whitebridge! They don’t call their fish pie famous for nothing! It’s incredible and I highly recommend it. It’s our first stay at this hotel, but it certainly won’t be our last.

If you want a stay in a Scottish hotel this is the place to stay. Stags' heads on the walls etc etc. Friendly staff, scenery off the scale and the food very tasty

Property is in a beautiful location and the view from the window was amazing. Dinner was great, however breakfast was a major letdown. The free continental breakfast consisted of only cereal, fruit, and deli meats. I had the pleasure of watching an old man pick up and inhale several deli meats and a child poking every yogurt which put me off. The scrambled eggs we ordered were wet and soggy, and unfortunately the fried breakfast was slightly burnt. The coffee and tea were just downright disgusting - when asked what coffee they served at breakfast we were told "it was from a pump". Also, don't plan on sleeping in, we were rudely awoken at 7am by a loud family next door... The walls aren't the thickest. To summarise, a great location, dinner was tasty, but breakfast was very disappointing, and you will most likely get woken up in the morning. Great for a quick road trip stop.

Sorry to hear such a disappointing review as you didn't bring this to our attention whilst you were here. The continental breakfast consists of croissants, selection of highland cheeses, cold meats, yoghurt, fresh fruit, fruit granola sundaes, fruit juice, cereals, toast and homemade jams and marmalades. Many of our guests comment on how generous the continental breakfast options are so I am sorry you didn't find this to be the case. I'm sorry to hear that you found the scrambled egg to be wet and soggy - it is listed on the menu as creamy scrambled egg and it was served as it should have been. I know the fried breakfast wasn't burnt as I prepared it myself and served it to your table. Sorry to hear that you were woken early in the morning - this is very unusual and I do apologise that this happened. It is disappointing that you didn't have an overall positive experience and I hope this doesn't put you off returning. We pride ourselves in providing an excellent customer experience and we are always striving to improve.

We LOVED this cute place. It’s a little in the middle of no where (sorta in the middle of Fort Augustus and Inverness) but it was sooo cute, friendly service and yummy breakfast. Definitely recommend!

Whitebridge hotel recommended
Very warm welcome by very charming and efficient staff from start to finish. The food is fantastic and the overall feel is relaxing. Great outlook in a beautiful part of tbe world. I thoroughly recommend Whitebridge hotel to anyone looking for that traditional Scottish stay with top food and amazing staff.

The hotel appeared to be being run on a shoe string . The staff in general did not appear to be trained in their work, example the curry to night is beef when it was to the table your chicken curry sir ,NOT GOOD. The bathroom door was jamming on the frame so reported it ,never had this ,complaint before, we will get a man in to fix it , having been out all day he arrived at 19.30 and took an hour to repair the door , staff did not tell us he had , the man himself happened to me , Then we had to report an electrical problem of the bathroom light / extractor working intermittently then finally the extractor did not work .

Thank you for taking time to leave your feedback. We don't think this is a fair reflection of your stay with us. We bent over backwards to accommodate yourself and your wife and both myself and my co-owner spoke with you both during your stay and asked you to raise any issues personally with us due to the way you were speaking to our team and the endless list of complaints that you had. You identified an issue with your room and being in a remote location, it is not easy to get people out on a weekend to carry out repairs. Despite this, we managed to get someone on a Saturday evening and rectified the issue with your bathroom door. Our team are excellent and work exceptionally hard during what it is a very difficult time for hospitality and it is unfortunate that not all of our guests appreciate their efforts but most do and this is reflected in our reviews on this site as well as many others. We cannot please everyone despite our best efforts and I think it is safe to say that our ethos, style and customer service was not suited you and your wife. We wish you all the best.
