Excellent location, lovely hotel with good amenities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to transport to anywhere you would want to visit. Skybus stop just across the road as is stops for excursion pick ups

Smallish room provided, with dated amenities. Room was clean, bed and mattress good quality. Great location. Breakfast included with price. Can't complain especially for $150 a night. Sky bus to airport bus stop was a 30 second walk way. Would book again.

Good location but very old hotel with strange rooms - stairs in all sorts of weird places - made it quite difficult to navigate. No room service, limited reception hours, despite lovely view of the harbour very noisy location. The included breakfast is a bonus but this is a budget hotel but not a budget price so will look elsewhere next time.

I realise our building is not so-called standard hotel style accommodation. It was built in 1846, is heritage listed, and still retains its charm that so many of our guests love. Whilst we do not have 24 hour reception, our opening hours are from 7am - 7:30pm and outside of these hours a duty manager can assist you with any enquiry. We stayed in Room 18 which is a standard twin room with a queen and a twin bed. One had to take the small elevator to the 2nd floor then walk down half a level using the stairs. Our room was facing the harbor but a tree blocked the view. The street lights from the pier shines into the room but the hotel has black out curtains. We loved the free breakfast from their restaurant which included your choice of entrée and drink from the standard breakfast menu. If you have an early tour departure, the reception gave out a to-go breakfast box of cereal, milk, oj, and breakfast bar. Housekeeping came every day to empty the trash, make the beds, and replenished the toiletries. We love the location of this historic hotel as it is close to everything, including day tour pick up points (usually across the street at Brooke St. Pier bus stop). There is a bit of street noise during the weekend when people drive on the main street at night. We stayed a total of 5 days and would stay here again when visiting Hobart.

Love the rooms with waterfront view and balcony- our second stay. Close to Salamanca Market and restaurants and wharves. Location can t be beat. Charming restaurant for delicious breakfasts that are included.

Easy, informative check in. Brilliant location and view over waterfront with lovely walks to Salamanca, Battery Point, waterfront and CBD or to bus or ferry (eg MONA). Lovely historic walls. Beautiful, inexpensive dinner and yummy breakfast. Have already recommended!

Older historic building that’s room have been beautifully made over. All the comforts you could possibly need. We had a great view of the harbour.Pleasant helpful staff, great location for seeing the sights of hobart. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend anyone to make their first choice to stay in hobart.

We were so impressed! We are residents of Hobart & had a 30th to attend, so thought we would stay overnight for it. Location obviously handy, but our room was lovely and everything we needed. The free breakfast was wonderful the next morning. Will definitely stay again.
