Buyer beware of Bich Duyen
I paid for 2 nights but when I arrived the owner said that the hotel no longer exist Why did Hotel.com allow them to be on the list???? After 14 hours flights, exhausted I was pissed. No more Bich Duyen hotel Beware people

Lovely hotel close to pack backer street. Staff very nice and accommodating. Hotel is really well maintained and very clean. Great value for money and highly recommended. Thanks for a great stay. Will definitely be back

Great little hotel
Great little hotel in centre of Ho Chi Min. Set back in an alleyway but Very close to backpackers street so noisy at night. Staff couldn't do enough to help - they booked trips for us, arranged an airport transfer and did our laundry which was returned the same day. Breakfast was fabulous - good choice cooked in front of us and unlimited tea /coffee. The only downside for me was there is no lift (we were on 4th floor) which was a pain for carrying luggage up and down, and you had to take your shoes off and leave downstairs. Stairs are tiled and I slipped carrying a heavy suitcase.

We stayed at Bich Duyen Hotel for 4 days and 3 nights. All the hotel staffs were warm and welcoming, especially Thao and Jan (?spelling). Breakfast every morning was really great prepared by the lady chef. We were assigned room at the 4th floor and there’s no lift so we had to use the stairs which was a good work out :). What’s unique was that shoes had to be removed and left at a shoe stand located at the hotel concierge area. Thankful for a great service, we had a really pleasant and comfortable stay at the hotel.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Area is in the nitty gritty of central HJM City where you get a real taste of big city Vietnam. Within 30 mins walking distance of many of the main tourist sites. Very pleasant stay.

空港バス109の終点から徒歩数分の距離。 メインの通りではなく、細い路地から入るので要注意。 マップをよく確認してください。 窓無しの安い部屋に宿泊しましたが、クーラーもよく効き、WiFiも申し分なく強かったので問題無いです！ 夜、廊下を歩いたり階段を上り下りする音が少し響いてうるさかったかなと思いましたが、よほど気になる方以外は気にするほどではないと思います。 賑やかなバーが並ぶ通りも近かったので、ナイトライフ満喫するのもいいかと思います。 近くにサークルKやミニストップもありました。 値段の割には良かったと思います

This was my first trip as a solo traveller to Ho Chi Minh. It was such a comfort to be taken care by the hotel caretakers, particularly Thao who was accomodating and kind. Although I was away from home, I felt safe in the hotel. It was also quiet though it was located near the street of bars and clubs. Nestled in the centre of the city itself, you can walk easily to a lot of tourism places like Ben Thanh market, the Notre Dame of Ho Chi Minh, etc. Other places like the Vincom mall, Independent Place and Norodom Palace were also about a 20 minutes walk away. Just a word of precaution, it's better to take Grab than any taxis for travellers. Either than that, Bich Duyen hotel is clean and offer the amenities you need to have a good night rest. Good job to Thao and the team, they also offer exchange to Dong if you need for your foreign currency. Super convenient. And there's an ATM machine for you to use your credit card to cash out some money just behind the hotel. Highly recommended.

The location is in the middle of the busy backpackers/young travelers area, a bit scary first, but all stuff were so helpful and efficient, the room was very clean, minimum but all we needed were there in very well organized manner. Breakfast was prepared in front of us, very fresh baguette, egg dish as you like or more options, fruits and coffee. They gave us perfect advise when we needed to go to hospital. Very smart and efficient stuffs. Very high cost performance! Highly recommended.

Staff here are excellent, friendly and helpful. Cleanest hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Vietnam. Room was comfortable and overall excellent value for the price. No lift, stairs only, which may be a problem for some people.

So kind and helpful the staff and the location was perfect for me. The hotel staff can book anything for you. Airport pickup to interesting tours of the city or beyond. They made my stay in Ho Chi Minh so easy. The room was more than large enough and because it’s down an alley it was quiet! The breakfast was wonderful every day, enough food I didn’t even need lunch! I recommend this hotel! It doesn’t have an elevator so if your not up for walking up a flight of stairs or two that could be an issue for you.

A hideout in the city that shouldn’t be missed .
Stayed there for a total of 4 nights in 2 different rooms . Both were clean and spacious , especially the first one . Air conditioning was also great in both rooms which is vital in a hot city like Ho Chi Minh City . Set breakfast was super and there were choices which are made in an open kitchen making you feel like home . Hotel located behine a street where dynamic night life is in HCMC . All the front desk people were helpful in giving you information about the city and helping you book local tours .

Liked that guest are required to remove their shoes upon entering the hotel. This may be custom here but also a sign of the care and respect the staff have for their property. Always felt safe. People who are not guess allowed in, at least this was my impression. I liked the location. Close to everything. Staff were approachable, helpful and spoke English well.

As others have noted, this modest hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The simple breakfast is freshly prepared and sufficient with coffee and juice. The bathrooms are small and open - ie no separated shower stall - but function well. Hotels like this should clearly state in their descriptions that there is NO LIFT. For some of us, doing the staircase (there are six floors) is not so easy.

Good hotel with excellent value for money. I am in good condition but walking up and down the stairs several times a day (after sight seeing) was at times a challenge. Room was clean and perfect for a layover. Would recommend getting the room with a window.

The desk clerks were outstanding! Changh was a God send. From advice on where to eat to exchanging currency onsite, to insisting on carrying my bags to and from my room it was a pleasant surprise. Plus the fact he was fluent in English was an added bonus. If you want to stay where you feel appreciated then I highly recommend staying here! Plus it id in District 1 which is full of entertainment, markets and plentiful dining options!

The hotel is located perfectly if you take bus 109 from the airport, just 100m from the bus station. The staff is very friendly and helpful and speak good English, and helped us book a tour to Cu Chi, as well as arranged transport to the long haul bus station. Breakfast was ok. The only downside might be the hotel not having an elevator and the staircase being narrow (but the staff was very nice and carried our luggage up to our room), and the shower showering all of the bathroom since it is angled quite high and does not have a shower curtain.

Excellent Hotel for the Price, Location and Staff
I stayed four nights at the Bich Duyen Hotel and really enjoyed staying there. The price was really affordable and the location was great. It was very close to Bui Vein Street, the Walking Street. There were many restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. The staff at Bich Duyen were excellent due to their assistance in bringing my luggage to my room. The only thing that was an inconvenience was that this hotel did not have an elevator and if you stayed in an higher floor it might be difficult for some people to walk up the stairs. I would definitely stay at the Bich Duyen again on my next visit to Saigon.
