Someone smoked in our room before us. Rooms were filthy. Other peoples shoes under the bed including a pack of cigarettes. Floors were filthy - turned our feet black. Room reeked of cigarettes.

They gave away our booked room before we got there, and had none left for us when we arrived. Doors locked and no one around so had to call in to find that out. Ended up stranded on the street. And was still charged for the room (have since received a full refund).

This hotel is located in the alley where car/taxi cannot get in. There is no staff in person for you to check in. The gate is locked and has a sign with phone number for you to call for check in. The staff is somewhere else. You have to call and they will asked you to wait for couple minutes for them to come to see you. For my case, they made me to wait for hour in the heat outside on the street and didn’t show up. I had to go to look for different hotel even though I had already paid at the booking. This hotel looks very suspicious and unsafe to stay.

Generally quiet alley location In busy area
Positive check in and orientation to hotel and local area by reception clerk. Staff polite and accommodating. Arrived at night and the front doors were being locked o prevent theft as ithe hotel is close to a walking street / bar area. Had a room on first flloor behind hotel desk, which resulted in some noise at night as the hotel also backs onto another alley. However, despite being only a few blocks from some noisy bars, most people in the alley try to keep the noise down between 11:00 and 07:00 to enable reasonable sleep. Despite some noise experienced due to first floor location and single glass windows, managed to sleep well. The hotel is quite central - only needed to walk 50-100 meters to find a reasonable restaurant. There are other small hotels in same alley. The best part is likley the location, as close to nightlife, but also a reasonable walk to other parts of the city.

Good location in district one
Got taxi from bus stn...use the green taxis or sign up for lift, taxis can be rip offs. The taxi will drop you off at the alley entrance. Down the alley are many hotels..this is about 100m in Great staff...no elevator. Room had small window but was clean with modern decor Staff provided maps and recommendations

Got there early and left bags, told check in at 1. Arrived at 2 and had to wait over half hour more...not impressed... apart from that was ok. Room could be better cleaned though...

Good for a short stay hotel
It was my first time to Ho Chi Minh City,if you are on a budget a backpacker or just need some where to sleep while in transition than this hotel is the perfect place to stay,but if your not a backpacker and not on a very low budget than i suggest you choose somewhere else like a hotel with pool resort and spa,The hotel staff were great very helpful, you could ask them any question and if they didn't know they would go out of their way to find out,Tips use GRAB UBER to get around it is the cheapest and safest way to get arround

Hidden gem
Perfect location, close to Bui Vien Street but not disturbed by the noise. Easy to find our way around the city from the hotel & pop back whenever we needed a rest. Ms Mimi is very kind & helpful. As were all the staff. We extended our stay by one night so that my son could join us & freshen up for our onward flight to Hanoi. The only down side was the breakfast which was a limited choice & could have been more. For a cheap hotel in the back packers area it served us well & we would stay there again.

Friendly staff close to night life
The rooms were clean. No elevator, so I had to climb 5 stories, but I had o problem with that. Staff very helpful and friendly. Close to nightlife, and close enough to Bin Tanh Market - about 15 minutes walk. Quiet at night even though close to action (2 minutes). Rented a motorbike from the Hotel for reasonable price - $8/day. Overall I was satisfied with my stay considering that it was cheap in price but had everything I needed.

Great hotel and Location
Super friendly staff, incredibly helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. It's a short walk to Ben Thanh market, palace and war crimes museum. There was a pop up market, mostly food right out side when we stayed (a sunday). It's a row behind the main street so less traffic noise too.

1 night in HomChi Minh
The staff here are incredible, so warm and welcoming. We only stayed 1 night and they helped us book a tour to the Cu Chi tunnels outside the city straight away. Also had good recommendations for breakfast and dinner places. Hotel location is great, behind the backpacker area, but on a side street so very quiet. Only negative for me is wifi cut in and out so was a little unreliable but wasn't a huge deal. They also helped book us a taxi to the airport the next evening. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing location
It was amazing, the staff were so nice and helpful and the customer service was the best in all of Vietnam. The room was clean and the air con worked great and there was always hot water. The location is the best, you walk outside and you are right in the middle of everything. You can't get a better place than this for the price, absolutely amazing.

Very nice spot- if not overbooked.
Once I was put into the right room that I had booked, the Ailen Garden Hotel was really lovely. The bed is very comfortable. The room is fairly newly remodeled. The bathroom is great. They had trouble when I arrived because my room wasn't available, so they put me in another one of the hotels several doors down. It was not nearly as nice. Luckily the next night they were able to get me into the right room. I had splurged on this hotel in order to have a nice place to get some work done, therefore the disappointment when I was placed into a less nice space. Again once I was in the correct room it was lovely and so were the staff. The street is a quieter one in the heart of the mad tourist district. I found the noise level fine for sleeping and I'm generally a light sleeper. All the best on your trip to HCMC.

Nothing wrong with the hotel.
My wife and me book 4 nights for a double room (bed) but instead we been given a twin. Thats the only complain. Staff hotel are quite polite and willing to help. Owners are always around and willing to assist you with anything. Quite close of night life (if it's all you wonder about).! We haven't had any noise at night because we had room in 4rd floor. For price paid, in comparation of another hotels (price-quality), if we back to HCM, ill book it again!

Nice property for the money, terrible service
The room was modern looking with a few corners cut. However the front desk service was not very good. We arrived in the morning and to check in early they demand we pay for a half day. We checked in early in other hotels throughout the country with no problem at all. The laundry service was awful. They told us if we dropped off our clothes in the morning it would be ready in the evening. We asked about our clothes at 730pm and were told they should be ready soon. By midnight we found out the clothes were soaking wet and we needed to pack and check out early the next day. They blamed the rain so they obviously hung our clothes out but never took them out of the rain. They also made you take your shoes off at the front door of the hotel. I would understand that in a guesthouse but not a hotel. If you don't need to interact with the staff it would be a fine stay but if you need anything from them it will be a nightmare.

Friendliest staff we have ever experienced from any hotel, make you feel welcome everytime they see you asking if everything is ok etc. Can't ask for a better location in the middle of everything from markets to the main streets. The price for what we got was amazing, they planned all our trips and buses for us and booked our bus for our next hotel without us even having to ask! Ever want to go Saigon this is the place you have to stay, definitely coming back!

Nice hotel in a good location
We had a good three night stay at Ailen. Our flight got in real late so we arranged an airport pickup for $15. Everything went great. The stay was nice and the hotel was in a good spot in the backpackers area. The area was generally noisy, but the hotel was situated just far back enough that it was real quiet in our room. The Internet was good and everything was clean. Not a bad price either.

The stay at Ailen hotel was a pleasant one due to the outstanding hospitality of the hotel staff. Hotel staff provided good advise for tourist like us and was very friendly. On top of that, facilities within the hotel room was in great condition and cleanliness was kept high at all times .

A great great stay!
It was a little tricky to locate this hotel, but it is indeed located in a very good area. You get all kinds of food just minutes away, or seconds away. And it's also known as a bag packers district, where lively pubs are all around at the back of the hotel. Rooms are clean, bathrooms are cleaner, service is good, and I believe it's about the best you can ask for. Definitely recommending this hotel!

Comfortable room with soft bed and pillows. Good A/C Good Wifi Friendly staff Great location for restaurants and drinks We rented motorbike to go to the mekong delta for four days which was great. The only negative is the noisy water pump which can be heard particularly in room 402 and 302, 401 also but not as bad. Still you can't complain too much because the shower is amazing, fantastic pressure and lots of hot water. They don't offer breakfast but not a problem for us and plenty of choices around the corner.

Great Value and Friendly Staff
I spent two nights at the Ailen Garden Hotel. Maybe I missed the garden part but otherwise it was a great choice for me. I was picked up promptly at the airport after an early flight from Manila and checked in many hours before official check-in time without a problem. The staff was very attentive and helpful with suggestions for what to see and do. They booked a reasonably priced Mekong Delta tour for me. The room was a nice size with a good bathroom, lots of hot water and good water pressure. Since the hotel is on a small alley, the noise was not a problem. Bed was comfortable. Location was close by transportation and walking distance to many sights.Breakfast not included but plenty of places nearby.

Family friendly hotel
Stayed here for several nights with my children and friends. It is a small family run hotel. The owners are very friendly and helpful and made you feel as if you were at home. The hotel was a little small and had no lift. Breakfast was simple, but adequate.

Great hotel, location, rooms but irritating staff.
Nice staff at first glance but you quickly realise they are trying to sell you things constantly which becomes annoying. Also tried to rip us off at check out with currency conversions. And bumped up the price of water that was agreed at the time of sale to gain an extra 8c. These petty attempts to make a little more money all added up in the end and was very irritating. Other than this it is a great hotel in an excellent location with great rooms.

The guest house is in excellent and clean condition. The owner was friendly and helpful. Little extra charge compare to the regular charge you could find from the street but you trade off with the better and inclusive service. Room is clean, new, and bright. Bed is comfortable for Asian standard, can't expect pillow top bed for the price. Bathroom is also clean, hot shower, good water pressure.

Great room, perfect location - right in the centre but down a side street so no noise, but also right near the bus drip offs/pick ups. Staff were really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning to Saigon at the end of March and will be staying here again.

THE BEST HOTEL IN DISTRICT 1,SAIGON,VN.
We travel with more than 5 adult in the family,normal we book 2-3 room,its cost if we book high rate hotel in central city,we search online then we found this hotel with high rate review by guests,they had family room with 2 double bed (can sleep 4-5 person).We stay there 1 night,every thing nice and modern,warm welcome and helpful staff.We will come back next time for sure.

Rezeption war bei der Anreise und Abreise nicht besetzt . Zimmer waren um 14 Uhr noch nicht bezugsfertig, erst ab 17 Uhr und von der Rezeption war niemand erreichbar. Schlüssel haben wir bei der Abreise einfach auf den Tresen gelegt. Zustand der Zimmer, war von ordentlich bis eins katastrophal.
