I was located on the second floor at the Serene Premier Hotel. The room was good size for Hanoi standards, the bed comfortable, shower was also good, and there were slippers provided. The free breakfast was welcomed, having a couple of options to choose from, the service was thoughtful. The downside was I found the hotel to be noisy from the loud guests stumbling in around 1AM, talking at full volume that resonates up the stairwell and as well as couples arguing or fooling around in their room at 2AM as if they were at home. I chose this hotel as I thought a side street (alley) would be quieter than a main street, however at 6AM the locals have a market across the narrow side street that would have woman chopping meat. This was unfortunately the noisiest hotels I have been in during my stay in Vietnam. I made an effort to speak with the front desk about this, but all they did was apologize for their loud guests, my expectations were that guests should be reminded to be quiet when entering late night as sound travels.

Love my room, clean and beautiful. Good amenities and toiletries. The staffs are lovely! I got welcoming drink and the lady gave me tour at the room (even though the room is small) but they wanted to provide 5 star service! The receptionist guy is so kind, I want to borrow a helmet and he found for me. The only downside is that the property is located in the small alley and people selling raw meats in front of the hotel. However, it's walkable to many places and the staff even help me walk to main road when I order taxi

Breakfast was included in the price when we booked it, and it starts at 6.30am. On the first occasion when we stayed, we had to be ready at the hotel lobby by 6.30am for our day tour so we are unable to enjoy their hotel breakfast. The hotel staff was kind enough to purchase a lunchbox with sandwich and banana inside for us to take along the tour for our breakfast. On the second occasion, we went down to their restaurant at the Basement Level to enjoy our hotel breakfast. The options are rather plentiful, ranging from sandwiches, pho, crepe, pancake and egg omelette etc. They do taste rather good as well. You’ll also be served with a serving of fruits. The staff are also very friendly. Overall, the experience at Serene Premier Hotel is good and will definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff are very friendly and can speak relatively good English. The lobby bell-boy is very kind to help you carry your luggage up the stairs and even bring all the way out to a main road for you to hail a private car / taxi. Room is relatively spacious for 2 persons, toilet is rather clean as well.

This lovely little hotel is tucked away down an alley that doubles as an interesting little market each morning. It is in the heart of the old quarter and just 5 mins walk to Hoem Kien lake. The staff are very kind and helpful and we enjoyed seing them again. The hotel has everything you need at a good price.

Probably the best boutique hotel in Old Quarter
I stayed her for 3 weeks and in the Old Quarter area for 6 weeks. I love Serene Premier, it's a grat boutique hotel. Best bed I've ever slept in, great air con, great breakfast and too Western standared. Whilst some of the boutique hotels in the Old Quarter, and I've stayed in a few, put out a smorgasbord, it means processed meats get hot, butter melts etc (potential upset stomachs for expats) but at Serene Premier it is all made to order. Also the air con in the breakfast room is great and that's important when you have 38 degree days. I loved that the reception staff would come out into the lane to buy the best mangoes and papaya with me and because my old iphone wouldn't download the Grab taxi app, they would order this for me. A Grab taxi (Uber equivalent) is about half the price of a meter taxi. If you are elderly, request a room with just a shower as some rooms have the shower over a big bath and stepping up over the bath if any health issues could be a problem. Bit nice if you love a big bath. Also the rooms are a very good size. Many in this price bracket and area are tiny but Serene Premier is spacious by comparison. Overall it is a fantastic hotel and a very comfortable stay.

Everyone at Serene Premiere is extremely helpful and accomodating. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the Old Quarter. We stayed at the Serene on 3 separate occasions as we used Hanoi as a hub in the North, and would do it again.

The staff are a big plus. Vietnamese in general are very courteous. Concerning the rooms I prefer the bathrooms with a shower rather than bathtub. It's location is very novel being in a narrow street rather than on a main road. It was the 2nd time there for me.

Staff is Wonderful!
We loved our stay! The location is right in the center of everything. The best part is the hotel is located in an alley way, away from all the street noise (honking). We were on the 8th floor and rarely heard anything. The staff is wonderful! They are all very welcoming and eager to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is delicious! It's made to order with several different choices. They even made our to go on our last day. We would definitely stay here again!

The people were so helpful and always so kind. They set up a car service to pick me up at the airport and drop me off. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The area was very walkable. My only note is the hot water in the shower did not last as long as I wanted on days when I washed my hait but I've heard that is common in the area. I would go back and recommend to others.

Amazing stay. We were treated so well as if we were the only guests. The front desk staff were ways there with tips and advice to make our stay with them even better. The location is excellent. Walking distance to everything. On a quieter street so you don't hear all the traffic.

The service was great. We stayed here a total of 4 nights with two 2-night breaks in between for short trips to Sapa and Halong Bay. They happily stored our luggage while we were gone and by the time we returned, our bags were already in our room upon check-in! We also very much enjoyed the free breakfast. The selection was plentiful, the food we had was very tasty, and the servers were super friendly.

The room itself was fine when we checked-in, but when we returned to the our room after dinner we were greeted with a strong sewer smell coming from the bathroom. Showering in this stench was miserable. We were happy to leave after a nights stay.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was small but had everything that we needed including excellent air conditioning. All of the staff were incredibly accommodating and always went out of their way to help us. One of the best aspects about this hotel is the location - it is located in a side street that is too narrow for cars and it is nice to be off the main streets. It is also close to the lake and heaps of great eating spots. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Hanoi.

Serene Premier Hotel Hanoi solo
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Serene Premier Hotel Hanoi. I had a 6 night solo stay and felt very much at home. The staff always made sure I was well and taken care of. They assured I had breakfast each morning, especially before my long day trips, even to the point of making me something to carry away. I want to acknowledge all the staff but particularly Jenny, Tracy, Rose and Tony!!! They were all wonderful! Facilities were very clean; I received water and fresh fruit daily; directions wherever I wanted to go and just general excellent service! I highly recommend staying here.

Good location
Is in a small alley, but u can see local life style. Very nice. Near to those high rating restaurant! Rooms are big and clean! Staff are super friendly! I would recommend my friends or myself will come back in future!
