A spacious and clean private villa with a huge bathroom and closet. Could have used another place to sit in the room since the "couch" was more like a deep daybed without a mattress. We loved everything and this would have been a 5-star review but we arranged for transport for us and our luggage down to the harbor when checking out and that transport did not come, causing us to have no time to grab breakfast at a cafe before our ferry came.
Stayed for 3 nights during the school holiday. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Plenty to do and great facilities. Beach was the biggest let down.
We had a perfect stay at Palm Bungalows and were pleasantly surprised by the access and amenities that came with staying there. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our trip a very relaxing and enjoyable one.
As others have mentioned, check in was a little slow (not helped by the heat upon arrival from the airport), but otherwise everything else was perfect.
Loved the bungalow we were in with the birds in trees and the wallabies feeding on the lawn.
The pool, beach, restaurants etc were a 2 minute walk. The Wild life cafe was just up from the end of the street.
I love the separate bungalows cf being in an apartment or hotel room. Tucked into the side of the mountain so you get lovely sea breezes while sleeping in the hammock. Loved it
Very orientated for families so couples not as catered for. Expensive to eat. Burgers at sails were fantastic. Staff all friendly. Visitors on buggies were annoying

Great to stay with kids. Lots of noise those from construction
For what you paying for the service is not great. We have waited over 2 hours for our room and once ready we had to wait some more for a staff member to drive us to our Bungalow. At the reception they just provided us with a map, but no explanation on what the resort can/will offer to its patrons. Overall didn’t feel welcome
The bungalow is great for two people. Our bungalow was facing bush so it felt pretty secluded. It would have been ideal if we had a bungalow in front of the lawn. Those ones were positioned much better with a nice open view.
The kitchenette was handy although our ironing board and iron were both broken and only replaced on our second last night. The staff are lovely.
This place is gorgeous! I was so excited when I saw the wild wallabies running around everywhere. Seeing wild lorikeets and bats was almost as exciting. I wish we could have spent more time here. Well, I guess we'll just have to come back.

Sorry to hear Alan. Please email us on trade@hamiltonisland.com.au if you would like to speak further about your stay.
The room was old, and not so clean. It smelt musty and like dirty feet. The bed was 2 single beds pushed together with a hard edge lump where they joined. There was no view whatsoever, definitely not worth the money.
We arrived at check in to be told “we have upgraded you” to be then put in “reef view resort” which we arrived to our room that stunk like it hadn’t been used in a very long time. Also one of our guest were expected to sleep on the couch (not a pull out bed from the couch - literally a couch). Also not very happy with the cleanliness of the bathroom as all the grout was mouldy and still had hair stuck to the wall in the shower from previous guests. Staff were nice though.
Great location and definitely loved making use of the hammock provided to chill and relax. Only downside was a bird that lived close by that sounded like it was being strangled…frequently through the night.
Really nice relaxing facility. Close to everything. Unfortunately the conference room (meals area) at reef view hotel was closed and there was a large conference on which meant breakfast was at sails restaurant across road - wait time was enormous. Sails food average, no real dairy free options available. Large pool closed for renos so limited swimming options...apart from beach and one pool for kids able to swim....not really a good option for non swimmers.

Why go to Hamilton Is when you can’t get a restaurant reservation, most of the restaurants are still closed, can’t get a buggy to get around with the family the place is so over crowded and over priced… Don’t go
Nice basic apartment, reasonably large and very friendly staff. Very close to everything (island isn’t very big so almost everything is close by). A few small things were broken here and there (such as the alarm clock) so felt like it needed a refresh. They didn’t consistently sweep our floors (seems like it depended on which housekeeping team came by that day) and in a place like hamilton island, we ended up having sand in the bungalow that made it uncomfortable to walk around barefoot.
