Location is perfect, central to Halls Gap, walking distance to shops and restaurants.
The views are incredible - the Grampians are so close, and one evening we even had kangaroos grazing just a few cabins away.
Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful.
Cabin is functional - has everything a bloke needs, bed, bar fridge, shower and toilet.
Air con unit is brilliant.
Cabin is very basic and old. Reminds me of caravans I stayed in as a kid back in 70s and 80s with the lino flooring and paper-thin walls.
Paper-thin walls means cabin is super hot when hot outside, and turns to freezing when cold outside.
Needs a good clean - cobwebs in bedroom light, and all over front entrance.
The (very small) TV has a large scratch on it.
Bathroom is functional but built very shorter people. I'm only 184cm, and struggled with shower and toilet (very low), and bathroom mirror was great if you didn't want to see higher than your chest.
Overall I liked that it was cheap and functional, but needs a lot of upgrade work, and a decent clean. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it should be dirty or rundown.
I would probably stay again, due to it being centrally located, but would need to upgrade to next level of cabin.
