A rustic holiday place
This is a very large caravan park with many cabins but they are all suitably spaced from each other each cabin gets its own parking area next to the cabin. This property is really good for families although anyone can enjoy it as it is surrounded by natural trees and landscaping. There is a small outdoor pool and a huge indoor heated pool which is great for all year round use. There’s also many amenities for little children to use. I found the furniture a little bit hard but acceptable. The kitchen has all the basic facilities. I think the cabins are showing a little bit of age but nothing too bad. There’s also a great balcony to every cabin with at least six chairs. It is very close to the beach. Perhaps a five minute drive or you could easily walk it. A small shopping centre is also nearby for all amenities.

Just spent 5 days at Happy Halliday's with our 2.5 year old & he loved it. Multiple pool options which was great. Very friendly and accomodating staff too.

There was nothing "Bad" about the park but there was definately nothingthat stood out. The facilities are mediocre at best. the place is very cramped. Ther were so many little things wrong with the place that it started to become a joke. There was no TV in master bedroom although there was one pictured on website. There was a broken knob on ceiling fan in bedroom making it difficult to operate. The park has an ant problem. Our air-con was not working for the first three days. The bathroom tap screamed at you whenever you used it. Half the Foxtel channels did nothing. The staff would park us in daily making if very difficult to get in and out of our ridiculously small parking spot. For a park operating in summer they have very limited office hours. Overall size of cabin was laughably smaller than it seemed in pictures and was nicknamed the sockbox as shoebox would have been overly generous. We found that we needed to buy several kitchen items as the wisk, spatula and spegetti spoon alone didn't cut it. On the up side the park and cabin were clean. The pool was a welcome diversion for the kids (when they could find space in it) and the weather was great, though I guess the weather has nothing to do with the park. All in all I would not recommend the place and I will not return.

Clean park, with great staff and a good layout, lovely spacious landscaping and cabins clean with comfortable beds. Particularly good for young families. Has all you need.

staying with kids there was a huge amount to do. We enjoyed the train in particular and the pedal carts. The negatives included the fact that we were required to pay for the pedal carts which became quite costly with a few kids. We were also required to pay for the BBQ. I have never stayed in a park where payment for the BBQ was required. We also did not have adequate utensils for the BBQ meaning that it was quite a difficult thing to do.

Happy Hallidays is a friendly, fun place to go. Our family had a ball! Even when it rained the kids could swim in the indoor pool, play in the games arcade or climb around in the indoor playground. So much to do!

I didn’t like the fact that all the rules set out for holiday makers, were never adhered to or enforced in ANY way. Made it hard for us that tried to make our children follow the rules. The pool was lovely and clean and so were the rooms, although they do look a bit tired. On the whole though, a great holiday place for families.

It was very humid during our stay and our aircon continually tripped out every 2-3 mins regardless of the temperature set. Everything else was fine.

Excellent service from friendly staff. Quiet after 8pm so perfect for families. Lots for the kids to do. The indoor and outdoor pool were suited for both my toddler and tween to enjoy. The indoor playgrounds, mini golf, jumping pillow, little train and games room were amazing! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the craft activities. Great food at the tavern next door and large meals. The local beach is well patrolled with a beautiful stretch of sand. We will be rebooking for later on this year!

The property in general is great and the kids absolutely loved it! So many fun things to do and so much freedom for them. The only thing that disappointed me were the cabins we stayed in. The mattresses were al REALLY dirty, there was loose hair everywhere on each mattress and pillow, and the linen provided makes awful noises all night when slept on. For such a holiday park, it would be expected that they are also more up to date, modern and clean. There were spiders on the mattresses and bugs everywhere, and while that is expected in such areas, I would expect the webs from the bedrooms to be cleaned or have pest control inside because we found many in the sheets etc. Again, the park was great and activities are amazing, however the rooms need improvement.

Had a great time. My 8 year old loved it he enjoyed all the playing adventures and made some great little friends. The only thing I think you could do is make a bike lane around the park so the kids aren’t riding in front of cars ect might make it safer. Over all amazing spot plenty for the kids to do.

Paradise for the kids.
One of the best caravan parks we’ve been to. So much for the kids to do even during winter. The indoor play centre, indoor pool, putt putt golf, tennis, basket ball, jumping pilllow, games room, train rides and daily activities meant the kids didn’t want to leave the park. We finally dragged them away to the beautiful beaches nearby where we explored the rainforest walking tracks. Our Bungalow 3 was in a prime position, sparkling clean and well equipped. We are coming back in summer!

lovely weekend getaway
there was a warm welcome when we checked in and it was quick too. The amenities were good. the kids loved bouncing on the gigantic pillow and playing in the park. we had a game of tennis and walked along the lovely local beach. Food at the tavern down the road was good. Desserts were awesome
