This nice, comfortable and bright house is located at the south of Haarlem.
Walking distance (5 min) of big shopping center, with many shops and two supermarkets. The supermarket openingtime every day (also sunday) 08:00 till 22:00 hour
Free parking at the house.
Good and fast public transport, every 6 minutes a bus is leaving from the bus stop.
Quick connection to Amsterdam central station and Haarlem centre.
Also close to Schiphol Airport, the beach of Zandvoort, the Linnaeushof (Europe s largest family playground) and Keukenhof (big flower show at spring).

The house is 105m2 and has a bright living room and a fully equipped open kitchen.

Spacious and wonderful host
The property is exactly as pictured. Hans was very responsive, he waited and explained thoroughly the place to us. We only stayed for 3 nights. We have plenty of spaces for 4 adults. Bring your own shampoo and extra towels, if needed. We don't have any problem finding parking spaces in front of the house. The area is quite outside of Haarlem, so you'd need a car to go around, although parking spaces in Haarlem are quite limited. Otherwise, it may be costly with public transportation. Overall, we have a good time exploring other cities around Amsterdam.

Nicely done apartment
Hans meet us at the door and showed us the apartment and all the features before heading in his way which was great. Good use of the space and having flexibility in bed layout was great for us. 10 minute drive to the closest rail station and a 20 minute ride into Amsterdam was easy. Even had a friendly cat show up in the rear patio garden space to hang out with some. Thank you Hans!

Not well maintained as broken backsplash and other infrastructure neither repaired or well maintained. Communication with owner good but despite arrival time mutually agreed, not ready by that time. Cleanliness uneven and out of soap which was replenished.

A nice alternative to Amsterdam
Haarlem is very nice and much less busy than Amsterdam, but it’s still very easy to get in to Amsterdam or Zandvoort Beach with Bus 300 and trains running very frequently. The host was very helpful although we had to wait on the street for 30 minutes past the agreed arrival time while the preparations were completed. Also, while the property itself is fine with plenty of space, in our opinion it needs a deep clean at least once by a professional cleaner just to get it back up to scratch, and we found two dirty towels from the previous occupant. (The cleanliness issues have affected our rating, which would otherwise be 4 stars). It should also be noted that the spiral stairs to the upper two levels are very tight and not at all suitable for people with mobility issues. Overall good, but could be much better with a little effort.
