It was in a good location for where needed to be. The pillows are far to hard had to use a towel for one of us,no shampoo or shower gel in shower it was totally empty and the bathroom light was far to short for my wife to reach good job she was with someone tall! And room 1 was to noisy with traffic and people talking when walking past at all hours as gaps in windows.

We spent 3 nights at the Kelvingrove Hotel while visiting the area. From the moment we checked in Joe made it feel like we were visiting with family. He was so nice and helpful. Liz was another staff member that made us feel right at home. She was quick to fix any issues that arose. Both staff members were great at communicating and making sure we had a pleasant visit. Breakfast was very good. It was a great location for us to visit the University and had plenty of dining options near by. I would stay again at the Kelvingrove and recommend it to others.

The toilets have a mechanism built in that chews up the contents that are being flushed. It is extremely noisy. This is also part of the system for the sink and the shower. Very noisy - every 5 or 6 seconds when using the shower. It also means that there is often a smell of raw sewage, which is extremely unpleasant. The water in the shower ran out every time we showered, so we were left standing in the shower without water repeatedly. The hotel is tired and is in need of its plumbing being looked at urgently. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, but run off their feet trying to cope with a busy weekend.

I was dining in the West End and didn't fancy heading back to rural Renfrewshire that night so I decided to stay in a hotel. My room was quiet and nice and warm (despite it being February). I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. The price for my double room was very reasonable.

Great Kelvingrove
Lovely stay, excellent room, very spacious clean and tidy, great reception. Absolutely recommend and hopefully will be booking again soon as we visit Glasgow often.

thank you for your honest review however at any point during your stay did you comment on this to the on duty manager .. if you had i am sure we could have dealt with it at the time not posthumously but i will ind ever to find the room you said had a tribal view .. and look at the bed to find out what was wrong with it regards
