I recently booked a short 2-night stay at the Mantra Sierra Grand in hopes of enjoying a relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, my experience was not relaxing as I had hoped. The amenities I was looking forward to using during rainy weather, specifically the indoor sauna and spa, were not functioning properly and out of action. Additionally, my sleep was disrupted by government construction maintenance taking place during the early hours of the morning, from midnight to 4am. I was unaware of this issue, there was no communication from reception upon check in. I did not receieve acommunication from expedia. While I understand that this situation was beyond the hotel's control, I provided feedback on check out of my second night to the reception staff suggesting that guests be placed in rooms away from the construction noise on the opposite side of the hotel for a more restful experience. I believe that more proactive communication or notification prior to the booking stay would have been beneficial in addressing this issue and providing a better solution for guest comfort. I was disappointed that the action of no verbal communication of construction and no changing of room location. Therefore resulting a horrible experiance. I am awaiting for the hotel manager to respond to my feedback.

The second bedroom had no power points near the bedhead. Had a lamp but couldnt plug it in within make a trip hazard of the supplied extension cord. We both have CPAP machines, so couldn't plug them in without creating a second trip hazard with extension cord I luckily brought with me. Pillows were too hard. One of the dining room chairs is falling apart. Everything else was modern, clean and tidy.

We stayed here in 2021 without issue but this time around it was a completely different story. Carpet was dirty, couch was dirty with stains to the point we had to place a bed sheet over it. Curtains also had big stains all over them. Overall not acceptable

The three bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious and well furnished, and we had a great view of the ocean. There is a beautiful large outdoor pool, it’s close to the beach, and there are lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The glass doors in the balcony were so dirty we could not see the view outside and you could hear the noise from the street. Also, there was no body soap on the shower, cleaner forgot to fill it up. However, the pool was very nice and warm and distance to the Pacific Fair and restaurants was walkable which was great.

Common areas are nice, some minor maintenance needed. Staff friendly and helpful. Apartments are all individually owned, so hit and miss what you get. Ours was well stocked in terms of cutlery and crockery, but the apartment itself was tired and while the floors and beds were clean, the oven, A/C grills, washing machine, dishwasher were all slightly grim. Shower was either cold or no pressure, friendly staff attempted to rectify promptly, but the results were minimal. Overall, pleasant stay. Didn’t expect any more for the money we paid.

Great spacious apartment but the air conditioning doesn’t work properly and was hot at night when sleeping . Some of the sliding doors need some maintenance so you can open for air flow.

The furnishings of the room we were first allocated to was not fitting with the price we paid for our accommodation. The leather couch was cracked and worn. The shower had grime. There was a small basin with hardly any bench space. There was a king bed and rollaway for a three person stay. The hotel reception kindly upgraded our room to a larger, clean room and we were very satisfied with the modern furnishings. The room was well appointed with laundry and kitchen facilities, two bathrooms, a king bed and two single beds also another seating area with a sofa bed, a further lounge area, dining area and balcony with table and chairs. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. As we had a late checkout reception gave us an 11:00 checkout from our room and also allowed us to use the indoor and outdoor pool facilities for the day and we were able to drop off the key in the security deposit box. This was fantastic as we had an evening departure. It allowed us to utilise the day with our children. We would definitely return to the Mantra Sierra Grand as it suited our needs and they were most helpful in accommodating our needs.

The Sierra Grand is close to the beach and close to Pacific Fair Shopping center. It’s in an excellent position. The staff were accommodating when we needed a later checkout.

Overall stay was nothing special. Our room wasn't cleaned the entire stay, towels weren't changed. The pool and spa was very average and the rooms need updating. The shower was soo grimy and the spa was very uncomfortable. If you're looking for average accommodation, stay here. If you're looking for a nicer stay I would go elsewhere.

It was a good stay. Close to Dracula’s, the casino and Pacific Fair and heaps of restaurants. Only problem when booking was we ordered two rooms but they couldn’t put them near each other. Or even close. 24 floors apart.

Mantra Sierra Grand Long Weekend Getaway
3 bedroom apartment was spacious and beds were very comfortable. Restaurants at Broadbeach all within walking distance as well as Casino and Shopping Mall. Nice big balcony and staff were very friendly and professional. Great location for what we planned to do for the weekend. The hall way had a very strong curry smell I assume from the Indian Restaurant downstairs but this didnt really come into the actual room. Would return so overall a good experience.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very high quality with great views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My only comments are that there was no coffee machine - only a plunger - and coffee machines are standard in most high end accommodation these days. Also, the kitchen could be a bit better appointed with dishwashing/dishwasher supplies and some standard pantry items such as olive oil, salt and pepper. But otherwise, we had a great stay.

the unit was fine but we were 404 and the noise was constant. We thought we were getting wifi but there was none available unless we paid. there was no wifi in public areas and the computer in the lobby wasn't working

Really good pool, indoor pool was a bonus with bad weather. Excellent restaurants underneath - especially Iyam Thai. Apartment was spacious and the view was great. Unfortunately the apartment was a little worse for wear. Nice enough but the blinds were stained and the blankets on the bed needed a wash. There were no bowls and there was no smart TV. Wi-Fi was not offered during check in and there was no info in the apartment so we didn’t find out there was Wi-Fi till the last day. For the price I paid for a 3 bedroom apartment, I’d expect those things.

The plumbing broke under the ink and we had to relocate into another room,,,also both rooms had no intercom to reception and the last room had no bin available and the bedroom tv was broken

We spent 4 nights here in a 2 bedroom apartment. The location is excellent being a short walk to the patrolled beach, and across the road from Pacific Fair. The apartment was a bit tired with chipped furniture, insufficient lighting in the bedrooms- no reading lamps. Only one small/ midsize TV with none in the master bedroom, although all the connections were there. The balcony furniture was dirty and chairs broken, the stovetop nobs were not all working, some of the crockery needed replacing eg only 2 breakfast bowls in a apartment for 4 people. When you are paying over 500 dollars per night this is not what you expect. Pools were good, friendly staff and parking was fine. I wouldn’t go back here again.
