The hotel staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us with enquires and make sure we were comfortable. There was a lot of construction happening but we were offered discounts in many ways to make up for the noise.
Hotel Vila Ombak is the first international hotel on the magical island of Gili Trawangan, a 10 minutes boat-ride …More
The hotel is very nice, the food is excellent and staff were very good. The pool is very nice also. We stayed in a beach cottage which we thought would be on the beach but it's across the road from the beach. The cottage was very very dark all the time and the staff were unable to help us as they didn't speak English well. We spent time to get ready in the outside bathroom which was stinking hot and unpleasant. Remember to bring insect repellant as we were constantly getting bitten through the night.
We were at ottalia for 10 nights - great privacy and room exactly as described and pictured. great gardens.
bit of building noise during the day - the staff were good.
Aircon worked a treat and we didnt see a mozzie the whole time - (APRIL).
Pool was well maintained, room was attended to every day regardless of which way we placed our door sign.
wifi drops in and out but we didnt care. the power went off a few times but thats to be expected on such a small island. it didnt bother us.
The ants are quick so dont leave anything edible outside the fridge or the room.
breakfast buffet was fine - just not the poached eggs.
bikes made life easy to get around and was quite fun and could go anywhere on the island.
it was great overall and id go back anyday.
was so good to be away from the hussle n bustle of the main street.
i would take my family - felt very safe.
Kayu cafe had the best coffee
Tropica Gili has a fantastic massage lady - went 5 times!!
Samba villas had amazing pizza
Trawangan Dive had lovely food - especially the pastas and wedges! coffee was good too.
Scallywags was nice but lots of msg in the food - in gravies and sauces - its at most places there really.
The Pearl is nice for a daybed and food is lovely
Great snorkelling on coral beach out past the big metal structures in the water.
Peaceful and serene. Though there isn't much to do at Meno Island, the stay at Seri Hotel was just what I needed to get away from the hussle bustle of city. Relaxing and energizing, beautiful hotel, beautiful view and excellent location, amazing staff! Well done!
really enjoyed our time here. great location, staff and hotel. would highly recommend this to anybody. pool and pool area was great. staff were always on hand to cater for our needs. we will be coming back here again.
"focus on why you booked this property and island "
my first impressions of this island and resort were not what I expected . Having to take own luggage off the launch into the water and negotiate the so called steps up to beach was not the best start. There was no greeting to the island and was guesswork on what to do or where the reception was. The island has alot of growing up to do but I also need to remind myself that is one of the reasons I booked it in the first place. The bungalow has a sense of romance about it and took a bit to get used to the layout and to relax. The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom downstairs with the living area downstairs and open/unsecured. The beach area is terrible (I understand that their beach area is under a programme to fix but it seems to be a long process) and we spent most of our time outside of the Malalia bungalows as they fixed up the beach area every morning - the accommodation at Malalia is also a third of the price of the Karma . I think the Karma is overrating itself in comparison to what is available on the island. There was a party hosted at this resort however it only went to midnight and didn't cause much of a disturbance. our holiday was in a quiet season and not alot of tourists about - compared to other Bali destinations ,my daughter and i had an overall distinct feeling of not being entirely welcome - a little like only just being tolerated. The staff at the Karma and Malalia were always pleasant and helpful and the more we had contact the friendlier they became
The three Gili Islands are just off Lombok's northwestern coast, and arguably the island's most popular destination. The only way to get to these relaxed islands is by boat from the mainland. These eco-friendly islands work hard to keep the environment clean--no motor vehicles are allowed here. Get around by horse-drawn cart, bike, or on foot. Gili's scuba diving is known worldwide.
