Our apartment is located in a quiet area of a district with about 300 inhabitants.
Sehlen borders directly on the forest areas Burgwald and Kellerwald.
The Kellerwald has been declared a nature park due to its unique flora and fauna. In the center is the National Park with many tourist attractions. The Edersee offers in addition to swimming and shipping.
Our apartment is located in the garden area and is protected by hedges and trees from strange eyes. Barbecue and garden shed are available.
A butcher is in place. The shopping center is located 3km away. Nordic walking and cycling on certified trails are very popular.

Visiting Home from Years Ago
This was a beautiful location and I would recommend the location! However, the most difficult part of this experience was using Google Maps (USA). The location is between Haina and Gemunden along the main road and look for Seylen/Rosenthal. This I suspect is an issue with Google Maps. The location was great and the Fackiner Familie ist wonderful telling us a couple of "ins and outs" about the area. It is best to be able to speak basic German at least. Thank you for everything!

Great place for those who want to go hiking
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. We especially liked the fact that we could sit outside and enjoy the quiet surroundings. We also loved the clothesline to hang our clothes up to dry. This is something we don't get in the USA much. ☺️The apartment is a great little place to stay at if you are planing to do a lot of hiking as there are many opportunities to do so. A couple of drawbacks: for one person in our party the bed was too firm. This is definitely not a place to stay at if you are disabled and have problems walking as the entrance to the apartment is down a hill. Overall, we can only recommend this vacation spot. Thank you also to the landlord for being so nice.

Ruim appartement voor 2 personen met alle faciliteiten. Vriendelijke eigenaren die de gasten hun gang laten gaan maar behulpzaam zijn als hen iets gevraagd werd.

Gemütliche Wohnung in toller Lage
Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und modern eingerichtet und bietet alle wichtigen Ausstattungsmerkmale. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern lief schnell und problemlos. Die Lage ist wunderschön und ruhig am Ortsausgang. Man erreicht hier gut viele sehenswerte Orte in der Umgebung. Auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend vorhanden. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierhin kommen.
