Charming Mountain Cottage ideal for Walking and Relaxation

This charming family cottage transmits joy and peace when sitting around the garden contemplating the marvellous views of the Tramuntana Mountains. Only 15 min away from the village of Binieraix is set in a beautiful and secluded setting, Can Mateo is a beautiful stone cottage that shows the owner’s love for this cottage. The cottage is separate and secluded; with own parking area and access. It is an example of sustainable living, using solar energy and the inner water resources to make a paradise vacation home. Can Mateo has many sitting areas for eating al fresco cooking with Mallorcan barbacue, and areas for relaxation surrounded by olive groves. The large living room has its own fireplace and comfortable sofas with SAT TV. The rustic kitchen has all the modern commodities as well as the shower room. It has one double bedroom and one bedroom with one double bed and a bunk bed and one shower room. It is ideal for starting some of the famous walks such as Binieraix, l´Ofre in Fornalutx. Only 20 min from the town of Soller and the beach at Port de Sóller. We recommend a small type car as the road is a mountain road, tight and uphill. Cleaning fee 70 euros. Beautifully situated high above Fornalutx with a wonderful terrace
This is a very nice mountain cottage with excellent terrace (and wi-fi!). Charming situation with walks to local villages. The 25 minute drive up from Biniaraix is longer and more difficult than expected, with some difficult turns and ending on an unpaved forest track. We ended up avoiding doing it as much as possible - although the walk up on the path from Fornalutx takes about 45 minutes and involves climbing 350m! I’d recommend bringing all your food and drink for your stay and relaxing there!

Die Unterkunft ist mit einem normalen Auto fast nicht zu erreichen, von Sollèr eine halbe Stunde nur bergauf über schmale Schotterpisten und scharfe Serpentinen. Der Vermieter ist äußerst unfreundlich und dummfrech. Wir haben noch vor Ort storniert und sind sofort wieder abgereist.

Sehr schöner und ruhiger Ort zum Entspannen und Wandern
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dem Haus! Die Natur und Ruhe dort oben und der Ausblick aufs Tal mit den tollen Sonnenuntergängen war wirklich erholsam. Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht - zum Wandern ideal gelegen. Wenn man jeden Tag den Berg runterfahren möchte, ist es etwas anstrengend :-) Aber wir haben das alle paar Tage gemacht und der Weg ist für einen sicheren Autofahrer absolut machbar. Für uns war es wirklich der Beste Ort zum Relaxen.Sehr zu empfehlen.

Perfekter Ort für Wanderer und Menschen, die gerne abgeschieden sein möchten
Gleich vorweg und damit eine Zustimmung an die vielen Vorredner: Ja, man muss definitiv ein guter und sicherer Autofahrer sein - sonst kommt man nicht heil hoch. Die Fahrt von Sóller bis hoch zum fast letzten Haus dieser Straße dauert gut 25 Minuten. Unser VW Polo war so ziemlich das breiteste Auto, mit welchem man diese Straße befahren sollte. Wenn man es dann einigermaßen drauf hat, macht es echt Spaß, dort hoch und runter zu kurven - Menschen mit ausgeprägten Ängsten und unsichere Fahrer sollten es aber wirklich lassen. Das Haus selbst ist gerade für diese Preisklasse vollkommen in Ordnung und hat alles, was man wirklich benötigt. Einzig die Betten (doch schon etwas durchgelegen) könnten mal erneuert werden und vielleicht sollte auch darauf geachtet werden, dass die vorherigen Bewohner auch wirklich ihre Töpfe abgewaschen haben. Für zwei Personen ist das Haus sehr gut geeignet. Das Bad ist etwas klein aber ausreichend. Die Ruhe dort oben auf dem Berg ist tatsächlich sehr entspannend. Wenn man jedoch darauf aus ist, viel von der Umgebung zu sehen, sollte man immer die zusätzliche längere und komplizierte Anfahrt im Hinterkopf behalten. Oder einfach ein anderes Haus buchen. ;-) Übrigens: Direkt ein Haus weiter (und damit am Ende der Straße) kreuzt ein Bergwanderweg, den man super für eine ausgedehnte Tageswanderung nutzen kann. Dafür ist dann aber entsprechende Erfahrung, Trittsicherheit, etwas Kletterei (aber ohne Sicherung etc.), das passende Schuhwerk und Kraft nötig. Dafür wird man aber mit wirklich tollen Aussichten belohnt.

ACCES TRES DIFFICILE pour VEHICULE de TOURISME
Bel emplacement mais accès final sur piste sans point GPS ! Sans 4X4 , véhicule de tourisme limite avec risque pour carrosserie et pneus (assurément non pris par les assurances car hors goudron) , nous nous sommes perdus un soir et le propriétaire que nous avons appelé nous a répondu de nous débrouiller !!! Conséquence , une nuit à l'hôtel pour retrouver le lendemain le chemin !!! Dommage car maison et site très bien mais accès pour 4x4. Une réclamation sera faite auprès d'Abritel.

C'an Mateo - Auszeit im Urlaub
Die aussagekräftigen Bilder versprechen nicht zu viel! Die Lage in den Bergen und die liebevolle Gestaltung und Ausstattung der kleinen Finca machen diesen Ort zu etwas ganz besonderen. Zugegeben, die Anfahrt ist eine Herausforderung und erfordert einen erfahrenen Autofahrer, aber dafür ist das Ankommen nach jedem Ausflug umso schöner. Vielen Dank für das unvergessliche Ferienerlebnis!
