Fornalutx is a pretty mountain village and a popular destination in the northwest of Mallorca in the Serra de Tramutana mountain range. You can reach the next largest village Sóller via beautiful paths through a dreamlike landscape.

House is not where the agency say it is.....
The property itself is as you would expect of a 3 star property - in need of a bit of updating but clean and tidy inside. The garden and pool area need work and could be seen as dangerous especially for young children or more elderly adults. The owner is very nice but does not seem to respect privacy and he and his staff, working in the orange grove and pool, walked through the garden and terrace on a regular basis to access the pool (which broke whilst we were there) and the garage of the house in which all of his tools are stored. The views from the property are amazing and did go some way to making up for the fact that it is not where the agent says it it. I was provided with google map links and actual co-ordinates for the property which showed it to be very close to town (the reason we booked it) in fact it was over a km further away along a steep road that was only just accessible in our thankfully smallish hire car (you would not be able to get to the property in a large / wide car). Walking to town was quite dangerous as the roads are narrow and steep with no pavements so I would not recommend doing it with young children. I would not stay here again but do recommend the area of Fornalutx and Soller
