Located in very noisy, busy area and not having any parking spaces unless you pay 10 euros per night and not to mention you have to live the area with your car before 10am and not be able to get back your car to parking space before 9pm, located in restricted area due to lots of wholesale businesses around.room was located in non smokers floor but smells cigarettes all the time

Nice hotel not that nice area
Staff working at this hotel is very helpful. Lady cleaned our room every day and even changed the sheets during our 4 days stay. Breakfast was good. The only downturn is carpet so dirty :(

The food from the restaurant disappointed us. Had very little taste. Obviously the Hotel was aiming at providing international cusine, but this was below standard. Also, breakfast had little variation during the week.We had excellent food in nearby local restaurants. The Hotel should consider this, because apart from breakfasts, there were hardly any person eating lunch or dinners there.

Memorable stay
It was a very comfortable stay. We enjoyed it. There was no arrangement for tea/coffee making in the room. Please add this facility to make stay better. Location was very good All other amenities were nice. Airport transfer should be free.

Very pleasant, we left very early in the morning and the staff made us sandwiches and had coffee and tea for us at 4am. No one does that for 7 people and children. No airport transportation so that was a disappointment

Quiet clean and comfortable
Momento hotel is situated within walking distance to all the tourist sites in the sultan Ahmet area , as well as being close to the tram and metro. The staff are professional and prompt the rooms very clean and quiet, I would definitely stay again as I have previously.

Very nice small hotel, good central location.
The hotel is in very convenient location to all the historic attractions, staff are very friendly and helpful. However no other guest entertainment facility or activities in the hotel. Restaurant is average with limited items on the menu.

Comfortable stay in Istanbul
There are plenty of small hotels in the part where I stayed, and even experienced taxi drivers could not reach easy. But the location is quite excellent.

Beautiful little cosy hotel, great location
We had a very pleasant brief stay at this hotel. The room was a little small, but the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

Nice hotel about 10 minutes from the action
Hotel Momento is a bit difficult to find, but the staff is helpful (enough, they don't seem super enthusiastic but they'll help you out), the rooms are nice, and the breakfast spread is great. It's well situated about a 10 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, and even closer to the grand bazaar if that's your kind of thing. They have a big "NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK" sign in the lobby and expect you to pay a few lira for a tiny bottle of water from the minibar, but there's a convenience store next door and no one objected to our bringing in large bottles of water. The restaurant on site is okay, and it's about a 30 minute ride to Ataturk Airport in a cab, 90 minutes or so to Sabiha Gokcen airport.

Clean, friendly and comfortable
A short walk to the Grand Bazaar, I picked this hotel for its location but was impressed by the clean, quiet rooms. I had a single room but my friends in the double had a balcony! The staff was helpful and took the time to explain anything you asked. And the breakfast buffet was more than you needed - a blend of Turkish and American foods. Overall, a great pick.

Central location but not a "nice" area
Hotel is very central - just a 5 minute walk (uphill) to the tram station and Grand Bazaar (great for shopping!). However, the area is not the nicest, and when we visited they were redoing the main street that goes down to the hotel, so it was even not good for walking. However, for the price this is definitely a good deal. The breakfast was mediocre and the eating area is small so the first day we had to wait for a little while to get a table. Overall, a good deal.

Very convenient clean hotel
I stayed only for one night waiting for a transfer to Uganda. I have no complaints at the Hotel. The location is also excellent if you want to visit the city quickly, like me. Rooms are very neat.

Ideal spot
Very conveniently located to the historical sites like Sultanahmet, Topkapi Palace, Cistern, Haggia Sofia, plus Grand Bazar. The tram trains are within walking distance. It was very easy to travel to all places with only 2 Turkish Lira. Breakfast was very good at the hotel. Lots of restaurants were located nearby. Most streets were full of shopping malls of leather, bags, shoes, clothes etc. The sea was also very close with lots of fish restaurants. Hotel rooms were small but clean. The hotel offers taxi services to and from Airport within range of 30 to 50 TL.

Not what we expected
Online, an original price which was representative of a 5 star hotel was slashed out with a more reasonable price noted. The room was not worth the discounted price. The hotel is crammed into a very noisy, busy, dirty area of wholesale vendors - not as the photo would suggest online. The hotel was virutally unrecognizable from the online photo. Yes, it' right by the Bazaar. So if this is what you want, then go for it. The room is extremely small - much smaller than the photos suggest. We spent time with an Istanbul native, and they were shocked at what we paid.....

Memorable Momento
A couple of blocks off the main drag, this hotel is well situated for the Centre of Istanbul, all sites of interest being within comfortable walking distance. Although situated on a side street, the advantage here was peace and quiet at night with no trafiic noise etc. We found the Hotel staff to be friendly, courteous, and attentive (we found almost every Turk we came into contact with to be helpful and friendly). Our room was large enough, the en-suite well designed and clean. There were nice little touches like the free bedroom slippers, and a bowl of mixed nuts with our drinks. We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Momento.

The Hotel's location is close to everything you need in the Heart of Istanbul, Staff are helpful,free breakfast and internet. Although the room was slightly small but other than that the Hotel is great for the price and service.

Loved the hotel, and would definitely check in again when/if around. VERY helpful and responsive staff? Check. Clean rooms, brilliant attention to detail in the setups and arrangements? Check. Complimentary high-speed wireless internet connection everywhere? A huge plus! At first the taxi driver had trouble reaching the exact hotel address, but after a couple of walks we got to know the areas and we told taxis to drop us off near the Grand Bazaar, which is just a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

Good Location
We got a whole new perspective of Istanbul on this stay. The location of the Hotel Momento in Old Town was ideal for our exploration of the town. We appreciated the effort of the staff to get us into the room early and offer us info and aid for getting taxis was very helpful. It was altogether a delightful experience.

Istanbul Hotel
One of the nicest hotels we stayed at on our trip to Turkey and Greece. Hotel had been remodeled within the past six months and our room was fresh. Room had all the conveniences needed. Breakfast was good, but not the best we had on our trip, and when the hotel opens its roof top bar it will be even nicer. Bar in lobby was small. Staff were friendly and provided great service. Would stay at this hotel again.

Das Hotel war ein sauberes Hotel. Die Bahnstation war wenige gehminuten entfernt. Das Frühstück war auch gut aber leider nicht immer ausreichend. Das Personal tagsüber war recht freundlich aber ein bisschen aufdringlich. Das Nachtpersonal war nicht zum gebrauchen. Sie konnten weder fragen beantworten noch uns bei Problemen helfen. Beim auschecken haben sie uns nicht mal verabschiedet, den sie waren gereizt weil wir fragen stellten, die sie nicht beantworten konnten weil ihr englisch sooooo schlecht war. Sollten keine Probleme entstehen, die vom Personal erledigt werden müssen, ist das Hotel nicht schlecht

Nos asignaron una habitación con una pequeña ventana que daba a una escalera de emergencia, luz y vista cero. solicité el cambio y me lo dieron a la mañana siguiente. Habitación cómoda, cama confortable, buen baño, limpio, desayuno 6 puntos, para mi gusto faltaban frutas, omelette o huevos revueltos sólo a veces, quesos muy salados. Ubicación correcta a 4 cuadras del tram. El servicio es un poco elemental y no hablan casi nada de inglés, es difícil comunicarse.
