  • Rivers Edge offers the serenity of mountain life and the beauty of nature all wrapped up in a spectacular location with nearby access to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown shopping. This charming home has been tastefully renovated and sits right on the Big Thompson River! The contemporary mountain chic décor along with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds will have you dreaming about extending your vacation for sure! The beautiful views from the windows and porches are absolutely breathtaking and you can let your worries drift away with the sights and sounds of nature and the rushing river just out the back door. Rivers Edge features 3 bedrooms, 2 with adjoining baths, plus a half-bath. The kitchen is stocked with all of the cooking utensils, appliances, cookware, and even spices you will need to make you feel right at home and it is open to the dining and living areas to keep everyone connected. And, after a day of adventure, you can come back to your home-away-from-home and snuggle up to a wood-burning fireplace with your favorite book and a warm beverage. What more could you ask for? Perfect Location

Great place to stay, right on the river. Our family had the best time hanging out on the back patio, listening to the river. We grilled out, enjoyed the family games and puzzles, and the beds were very comfortable.

A perfect get away

All was as advertised. This was a great house to stay in. Lots of wildlife close by... including a mink on the river, American Dippers putting on a daily show, and plenty of brown trout.

Relaxing stay

This is a well-cared for home literally feet from a mountain stream and only minutes from downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the back porch after our days spent hiking. We highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway

Our stay here was perfect! Our little family was in desperate need of a relaxing getaway and this home did not disappoint. It was comfortable, homey, clean and had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space for our party of 8. We very much enjoyed the back deck, taking in the gorgeous scenery while relaxing in the rockers and cozying up to the fireplace inside after a day of fishing. Great river side home

We have stayed here the last two years. It is the perfect size for our group to stay. Nice on the water. Nicely equipped kitchen and good supply of everyday items. Near a shuttle stop pick up which makes it nice getting back and forth to downtown and other attractions. Near YMCA to take advantage of their trails and activities.

This was our second time staying here and both times our stay was great: home was clean, kitchen well stocked, bed and bedding both comfortable. There was an issue with the fireplace, but management was responsive and timely. Overall, great home close to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Great Property in a Good location!

We were very pleased with the property! The property was well stocked (starter coffee, laundry/dishwasher detergent, some condiments, etc). The property was really nice, and having the river at the back door was lovely. Our family loved hanging out on the back porch and dipping our feet in the river. We also spent a few days at Rocky Mtn Ntl Park, and this location made it super easy to get into the park early.

Just Right...

We loved our stay at Rivers Edge...everything we needed for our family of four. The kitchen had everything we needed for lots of cooking and eating in, and the large dining table was a plus. We had a hard time keeping the downstairs warm enough, but the ample supply of blankets and the fireplace made it right. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your space!

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! Sound of the river right off the front porch was magical. One small recommendation would be to provide a crockpot….we made chili one day and could’ve used one. But everything else was provided!!! Definitely recommend!!!!❤️

Elk at your doorstep!

Had a great visit to Estes Park. Really enjoyed the home, plenty of room, very clean, good quality furnishings and very close to the river! Left the bedroom window open enough to hear the sound of the rolling river during the night... can't get that at home in Indiana! Bonus was having a 1,200 pound elk sitting on the neighbors doorstep when we returned from dinner. Have never been that close to an elk before, very nice!

Beautiful home for RMNP visit

This property is very close to RMNP and Estes Park. It is very convenient but also quiet and tucked away. The view of the river from the home is incredible. You can open the doors and hear the water rushing by. The house is cozy and comfortable with everything you need for a great stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen and dining room were spacious. The only downsides: The tv in the living room is small and there were hiccups with the management company. Our door code did not work when we arrived, and we had to call multiple times for supplies which was not a smooth process. But, overall, the property itself was great.

Wonderful Stay in Estes Park

This was our first visit to Estes Park, and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect home to stay in. The location was excellent, it was super peaceful with the creek behind the house, and the accommodations were so comfortable for our family. My only complaint is the house is listed as 3 bathrooms. It is actually only 2 1/2. There is a downstairs bedroom with 2 beds and those guests had to use an upstairs shower. Overall not a huge issue because of our dynamic, however it might be if you were traveling with 3 couples who might expect the privacy of their own bathroom.

Nice stay on the river

The house was clean and well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook everyday! Loved the added downstairs bedroom since I was traveling with an elderly parent and stairs are difficult. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching and listening to the water as she grew up in the area. Would have been better if there was a downstairs bathroom so those downstairs did not have to use the upstairs showers. We knew this was the setup when booking, and the downstairs bedroom and riverside seating was why we chose it even though getting my mother up and down the stairs everyday was a challenge. We like the nearby access to the ymca also. Make sure you book your entrance tickets to rmnp on the first of the month before you travel as getting the desired tickets and times at 5pm the night before is your only other option and are often gone by 5:01pm!!

A perfect place to stay on the river

We have stayed in VRBO properties around the country and the world, and this was one of the nicest places we've ever been to. The house is one of a series of similar homes along the Big Thompson River on the outskirts of Estes Park. But it was the nicest one of all the homes. It had a perfect wrap around porch overlooking the river downstairs and was the only home with another nice deck off the master bedroom upstairs. The home was furnished beautifully. The beds were extra comfy. The living room looked out on the river. But the highlight was the kitchen. It was the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO home we've ever encountered. Not only was there every dish and pot and pan and utensil and appliance you would ever need, but there also was a great selection of spices, condiments, etc. normally not found in rental homes. It was just a joy to sit on the front porch, read a good book, listen to the rushing river, see all the birds, and watch people fly fishing along the river.
