This was a unique old hotel. The rooms were clean and decent sized. The staff was helpful and friendly. There’s a pub downstairs and you are right in the heart of Dublin night life! Well worth the price

A great place to stay for a traditional styled hotel in the heart of the Dublin night life scene. Convenient downtown location for seeing Dublin sights. The entrance is a bit tricky to find as it is tucked away through a passage way next to the Mercantile Pub.

Very Bad Hotel
I booked a double but was given a twin which beds could not be joined together because in between there was a drawer set which can not be moved. If moved the lamp would have to be put on the carpet because the electricity cable is permanently attached to it. The bad smell greets you as soon as you step out of the lift and gets worse in the room. The furniture is really old, the walls falling apart. This hotel is a no go area and ill advise you to stay away from it. The receptionist was really nice and helpfull. She tried her best.

Family stay to go to the theatre
Clean and comfortable very handy for the Olympia Theatre and shopping on Grafton Street. My daughter and I were warmly welcomed.

Don't Change Anything and Spoil the Atmosphere
We will definitely come back here again. Full marks all round. Great location, reasonably priced, friendly and helpful staff and a wide choice in the breakfast menu. Generous portions which are enough to set you up for the day ..... especially if you are a vegetarian. Competitors take note! All in the surrounds of an atmospheric Victorian pub. The bus stop at the hotel door is also another major plus.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Older features but that is some of the quaintness of the old building in the heart of Dublin. Have stayed twice and will again.

Downtown Dublin Style!
If your looking for a primetime location in Downtown , this location is for you. Rustic hotel with a comfortable feel. Walking distance to the many resorts and BARS plus a wonderful breakfast. If you like what I typed, this Style is for you. Enjoy

Great location, crappy wifi
Great location, super nice staff and bartender from Brazil. The wifi was crap thought, not usable. We were on the 4th floor, maybe that is why the wifi was crap. Nice place though.

Nice stay, good service and very helpful reception
We had a very nice and large room. WIFI too slow. Good location and walking distance to most attractions in Dublin. The surroundings can be a bit noise due to pubs with live music every evening. Earplugs for sleeping was available in the room and the music stops no later than 1 am, so not really a problem.

Very disappointed with the service provided. The hotel stated that ac was present in rooms. When i arrived droped off bag and reviwed room they did not have ac. When confronted they lied said tuff luck what are you going to do and we wont refund. I hate when people dont tell the truth. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Also the hotel rooms are at track level beside a train/ bus station so you cant open you windows unless you like bus smells or train noise. Front desk was rude. Run away

High price low quality
Poor room condition, noisy, hot, not air conditioned. The noise from outside is horrendous as no double glazing, very little sleep due to this. Not a double bed, 2 single pushed together. Avoid if you want a good nights sleep! Breakfast price doesn't include a coffee which is crap as its 10 euros ( for breakfast extra on the already high priced room.

An older hotel with all of the great architectural features but the corresponding lack of the most modern amenities. The location and price are hard to beat.

Stayed Wed 15th May 2019. The noise from outside of the hotel was so loud even during the night, there might as well have been no windows at all. I have stayed in many hotels in Dublin and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were poor and very slow at what they did especially at breakfast. This hotel is very similar to faulty towers to be honest. It wasn’t even worth half of the price we paid the stay here

Staff were very helpful and respectful. Location was excellent although could be a bit noisy but we got use to the noise and slept well. The mattress needed to be replaced, could feel the springs in it. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
