I found this to be a really good place to stay in Bournemouth. Staff were extremely helpful, great to have a pool which was good. Very good value especially considering it included breakfast which was also good. Super convenient for the station and only 10 minutes walk into centre and 10 Minutes down to seafront. Good to be able to support a local hotel as there are a lot of chain hotels in the area. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely place plus pool and whirlpool is real value for money. All staff and service were lovely, friendly and kind. Facilities in the room were plentiful for a small family. Amazing value for money. Thank you staff.

Not bad for a one night stay visiting friends. Friendly welcome from reception. The room was clean with plenty of tea and coffee, comfy bed and enough power sockets to charge phone and laptop etc. I can't comment on the leisure facilities as I didn't have time to try them. Breakfast was ok; although hash browns, beans and mushrooms would have been nice to have on the buffet. Free parking was most welcome. It's not the newest property; but perfectly good for a short break. For those evening drinks; it's about ten minutes walk to the start of the town centre drinking circuits. I would stay here again.

This is an absolute gem in the middle of Bournemouth. Staff were very nice, particularly the lady receptionist on duty from 3 pm to 10 pm. She couldn't have done more for us but we didn't get her name. Thank you SO much for your interest and assistance. Hotel in need of a little TLC but apparently it is going to be replaced by apartments. Very sad. Rooms were nice and comfortable, leisure facilities a very welcome addition. An excellent place to stay.

The property was more than suitable for our one night trip. The room was spacious and had plenty of tea/coffee as well as a nice mini fridge. Staff were also friendly and the property was clean (with signs of aging/damage). The only let down was the changing rooms (no lockers worked), the hot tub was part of the pool and therefore cold, and the steam room contained plastic chairs and had no steam. However, our primary reason for visiting the hotel was not for the spa facilities so they just felt like a bit of a bonus when booking.

Short term stay impression.
The furniture and rooms were comfortable and clean and warm. The service was courteous and effecient. They did not have all services available due to retstricted catering. There was a lack of privacy dut to major building works outside the window and no net curtains. The heavy full drap curtains covered the only radiator and wasted the heat to the outside through the window and wall. KRR

Great place
The hotel is run down but due to be demolished so I get they don’t want to spend out, the staff at the hotel make this place an enjoyable stay, rooms are lovely and very clean, rest of hotel is very tired but I understand

Pleasant stay
Had a nice stay, just for one night. Decor is a bit dated but didn't affect our stay. Staff were very friendly and willing to help which made our experience more comfortable. We didnt get a chance to use the pool so cannot comment on this. Breakfast was ok, would have liked more choice for the cooked food, but did have a variety of cold foods. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and would go back again.

Good bits were friendliness and helpfulness of staff, large room, cleanliness and location. But the decor could definitely use updating, wifi and tv not working properly and the shower was weak. Perfectly ok for a short stay if modern/chic not important for you.

Arrived late afternoon, staff was un welcoming and didnt make you feel at home or at ease. Property is very dated and needs a lot of refurbishments doing. Room was very small and bed was hard. Although out of the hotesl control had very noisy neighbours. Breakfast buffet was small and disappointing, if you like just scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon you will be more than happy. No beans, mushrooms or tomatoes served. All in all it was a bed to get our heads down, wouldnt use it again.

Good for what we paid but needs TLC
First impressions is that the hotel requires some TLC & modernisation & wouldn’t take much to do this a coat of white emulsion around the ground floor area would certainly brighten it up. However the room was clean & tidy & a fridge in the room was a bonus, unable to open windows so this may be a problem in the summer. For the money we paid it was value for money which included a basic breakfast, free car parking & gym with swimming pool again needed some TLC but I did use the pool area & nice extra. Overall it was ok for the money we paid. Staff very helpful especially receptionist who didn’t seem to go home

Pleasantly surprised and lovely staff.
An example of why to not judge a book by its cover. Great features in the family room. - fridge, ironing board and iron, lots of storage space, cot/ play pen for baby. Really lovely staff & service. Swimming pool nice and warm and they even provide bags to put your wet clothes into. 👏👌 Would definitely recommend and if in the area, stay again!

Good stay with excellent customer service
The location is quiet and very pleasant. First impressions entering reception are not favourable. The building is in need of modernisation and general upkeep. However, the staff more than make up for this, they were attentive and good at customer services. The continental breakfast was excellent as well as the swimming pool and gym facilities. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Elstead. Looking slightly dated on the outside, we were pleasantly surprised by the perfectly clean and well-kept rooms. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious and modern. Breakfast was nice and the pool, steam room, and sauna were wonderful. Staff was always smiling and joking and happy to help with any requests.

Lovely stay, only let down by the hotel in the need of a revamp. All the staff were wonderful and trying their very best. The breakfast is awesome and for the cost I personally think they can charge a little more. The pool is a bonus, the sauna was great too. Again the changing rooms needs work to tidy them up. Would we stay there again…. YES

The executive double room was crammed with stained, ripped furniture. The public areas were in need of repair and redecoration with stained carpet. As for the Nordic Health Club!!! It was dirty and falling to pieces. There is no way i would have had a drink from the rusty, dirty, green fountain or sat on the mouldy plastic garden furniture in the steam room. The sauna was also falling to pieces and filthy. Do not stay here it is the worst place I have ever stayed in!!
