Adults-only cabin in Sunshine Coast

A beautiful cabin set amongst 1.5 acres of the Noosa Hinterland. We provide a one bedded cabin experience 20 minutes from the cosmopolitan town of Noosa on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Within 30 minutes of the Sunshine Coast Airport and 1.5 Hrs from Brisbane International. Cabin is decorated in French style and has outside kitchen area with BarBQ and inside kitchen area with bar fridge and amenities. During Autumn 2020 a new French style gazebo with seating area will also be established.

What makes our cabin unique is that we are almost off grid. Water is fed via two tanks and is very efficient. We have solar electricity with direct feeds to the cabin. The cabin has an eco friendly composting toilet and shower is also fed from a rain water tank, which we also use for watering the garden, when it does rain, which is not often.

Reverse cycle Air Conditioning and a ceiling fan are also provided. Warm and cosy in the winter and cool and refreshing in summer.

The cabin is set in 1.5 acres, has its own deck area overlooking the dam and a plethora of purple Lilly pads. The cabin is completely private and not overlooked. It is a very peaceful and tranquil setting. Sit and read a book or magazine, get away from your phones for a while. You can get a phone signal in Doonan. There is no wi-fi or TV, the idea is that you unwind during your stay and leave the hustle and bustle of your busy life behind. We can provide board games if required. Absolutely NO SMOKING as we live in bush.

For safety and to comply with local regulations a hard-wired smoke detector alarm is installed in the cabin.

Guest access:-
The cabin is accessed from the under house parking area at the top of the drive by a pathway leading through the gardens and down to the cabin. The path has solar lights installed which are heat sensitive and light your path down to the cabin at dusk. A torch is also provided. The path is made of loose shale it's flat but can get uneven at times so please take care.

Other things to note:-
As we live in the hinterland of Noosa we do share our home and grounds with a wide variety of wildlife, which include exotic birds, possums, frogs (which sometimes sing at dusk), kangaroos, wallabies, to name but a few. But this is Australia after all and they are all friendly.

The temperature all year around is a very pleasant. Winters are in the region of 19-20c with summer temperatures in the mid 30's. Humidity can sometimes be high but not often. The oceans are warm and the sea breeze is refreshing.

Bins are collected between 07.00am - 07.30 on a Monday morning.

Our cabin caters for two people only, we do not provide roll away beds.

We also provide outside cooking facilities with a Weber BarBQ and small two burner gas stove. There is an inside cabin breakfast station with cereals, tea and coffee and a small bar fridge. Bread, Butter and jams also provided.

The property is not fenced so therefore is not suitable for Pets. So please don't turn up with pets as we cannot cater for them.

If you are staying for longer than a week then bedding and towels will be changed on the 7th day. Also the cabin will be cleaned at a time suitable to yourselves.

Please note we do no yoga? then there are plenty of individuals offering these in and around Doonan and Eumundi. Including IKATAN Spa which has a great reputation.

Air-conditioned accommodation at this cabin offers fans. This accommodation has kitchens with fridges. Bathrooms include baths or showers.
