"We were arriving later in the evening and needed some better directions than we got from GPS so we called the Hampton directly and had a very pleasant greeting from the front desk and very helpful directions from the manager on duty. She stayed on the phone with us until we pulled into the parking lot. Who does that these days!!? We were tired do the extra help was great! The lobby and rooms very clean and inviting. The breakfast the next morning was really fresh and good to the last bite. We definitely will keep this on the list as we visit our Texas kids."

"Excellent experience, fantastic staff. We received a call the week of our stay, warning us that there was not an elevator on the property, to make sure we were okay with taking the stairs. (We were, but it was nice that they asked.) After we left, they went above and beyond when my husband left his diabetic supplies (insulin, refrigerated container) behind - they were willing to mail it back to us. Very responsive to some semi-frantic phone calls. We appreciate it!"

"When I arrived and upon post check-in, the room key provided did not work. A staff member came to the room I was assigned to with a new key which didn't work either and had to wait in the hallway to be assigned to another room at the other end of the hallway. My room was horrible, stains on the bed sheets, the floor was very dusty and dirty, and smelled very fowl. The sink in the bathroom, would not drain and the shower would not produce hot water. My room after my first night stay, was not cleaned, and when I approached the night front desk manager about having my room cleaned, said, with attitude, that I was supposed to make a special request to have my room cleaned, and wouldn't agree to have my room cleaned, again, with attitude. I paid up front $500 for 2 nights. Warning: Never stay at the Hy-Lo Hotel in Durant, OK. Worst I've ever experienced in my life, and I'm a heavy business traveler."
