Dining options are few and far between. No take out at the restaurant. and no seating without reservations. Buffet was expensive but food was ok.

It’s nice for the location in the park. However, unfortunately extremely overpriced plus hidden resort fees they tag on extra. The food was ridiculous, the one restaurant was booked out the whole stay, the buffet was like $36 per person and horrendous, so we stuck to sandwiches from the store the other nights. If I go back, I won’t stay there again.

To tell the truth, I was underwhelmed. this is one of the most expensive hotel nights I have ever spent. The property is beautiful, but the rooms are run down and shabby. Our bathroom door was water damaged, and wouldn't close. the hall carpets are stained. the entry has chipped and broken tiles and concrete. In the room, there was nothing to stir the tea. I also didn't like the dire threats about fines for every little thing. The restaurant was overbooked and understaffed. Then the power went out and they closed the ice cream parlor. No generator, I guess. I've stayed in much nicer places for much less money.

It is nice that this property is inside the park. however, that also makes it the only option for food and shopping. the prices were exhorbitant. A breakfast muffin at the General Store cost 9.50!

This was so convenient to explore the park. Good wifi once you set it up. Set it up in the office when you check in before you get to your room. Good options for dinner. It is somewhat expensive, but just too great to be able to stay in the park. The grounds are cute with horses, pool, shuffleboard, ice cream store. Room was clean and quiet. Nice, but not fancy. Would stay here again.

I didn't do as much research on Death Valley amenities as I should have before I came. If you traveled here before the pandemic, I'm sure things have changed immensely. The room was good-sized. Plenty of space for us. We had been camping so a shower felt like a luxury. Unfortunately, there was hair from the previous guest all through the bathroom. Then, the water wasn't draining. I reached down to figure out what was wrong and found a very large clump of hair about one inch down the drain. I started to look closer and found the floor wasn't vacuumed on the far side of the beds. The beds themselves looked good but they should when you pay almost $300/night! Skip the buffet and bring in food from home if you can. Or make reservations at the Wild Rose a week in advance. If you have a vehicle, make the 24-mile trip to Stovepipe Wells. The food there is much better, service is great. As a bonus, the gas is also much cheaper! The pool is pretty nice. That is the best part of our stay at The Ranch at Furnace Creek.

Unfortunately, when we reached, there was no water and the next day there was no electricity nearly all day. No food service available due to no electricity.
