I stayed here for 3 nights for work, the 2nd night the fire alarm on the ceiling went off at midnight, I was woken by the ear piercing noise. I called the receptionist immediately, they sent 2 people to my room and they had to remove the alarm (not legally allowed) from the room to prevent the alarm going off again. The reason I was given for this incident was that the hotel waits till clients reporting the noise before replacing the battery. I found this unbelievable, what happened to the routine preventive maintenance? What happens if the fire alarm goes off 3am? There’s no consideration of the disruption to the guest.
