Very clean and well equipped with dishwasher and washing machine only downer was the noise with chair and table movement otherwise great

Checked into the “junior suite” for 5 days. Room was near the “recyclable rubbish” chute on level - could smell rotting garbage the moment the lift doors opened. Floor of unit felt dirty with stains, sticky. Definitely not a floor you could walk around barefoot on! Toilet seat was loose and partly dislodged. Handyman came and fixed it promptly when brought to their attention. No face washer provided, only towels and bathmat. Bedroom was tiny, unit had ugly vertical blinds throughout, noisy air condenser unit on the balcony, small and sticky dining table with only 2 chairs provided. Clinical fluorescent lighting. “Suite”? Hardly lives up to the photos depicted. I won’t be returning - better value elsewhere.

Hi Trex, thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. From your description you were allocated a Deluxe harbour View Room which overlooks the pool and harbour. The other Deluxe rooms over look the city and whilst a little larger, our returning guests usually have a preference for the room type and advise us which one they prefer. In hotel terms, a Junior Suite refers to a separate bedroom and separate living room, which you had. I am sorry that you did not enjoy our rooms, and we have inspected your room to check, and have been unable to find cleaning issues, possibly as it was cleaned after your departure. Thanks for letting know of the maintenance required, it is always helpful when guests report things during their stay. I hope you will be able to try us again and recommend an Executive Harbour View or Deluxe City view. If you do come again, face towels are available from housekeeping and reception.

It's usually pretty good there recommend it to anyone but this time we stayed there we seem to be input into a smaller room that we paid for so not sure what's going on there but I will contact then it's a beautiful Hotel really good star a light

Hi Dennis, thank-you for your 10 out of 10 review. I can see you had booked our Executive Apartment for your most recent stay however usually book the 62 sqm Deluxe Apartment. For this reason should you prefer the extras space, choose the Deluxe Apartment for your next stay. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Paid extra for a larger room but got given a standard size. Very dirty. Lifts were slow and irregular. Waited 15 minutes for 1 lift to go to the advertised Penthouse/roof drinks to find it closed. Sheets were low quality. To be honest I should’ve just paid for a taxi and come home to Zuccoli after our dinner in the city, rather than stay at Zen.

Hi Marilou, We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. As we are unable to identify your booking or date of stay I am unable to investigate all of the details. Our standard room size is 52sqm then they all get larger after that. When you book the room you book is matched to what you book online to our system. If we upgrade guests it is always to the same room size 52sqm or larger. We do not have any smaller rooms. Regarding the linen, I would love to identify your stay as our linen is sourced and cleaned by the laundry in Darwin which services almost every hotel in town, they always want us to let them know if a guest has an issue with linen so we can give feedback. If you can email us at reception I would love to look into your issues further.

Birthday delight

Our stay was great very easy check in and out. Parking was not to bad. Staff was very friendly and helpful, great they took our food to our room. Room and view was wonderful, we loved our stay. We was in Darwin for Business and my Beautiful partners Annlyn Birthday. Which we celebrated on the room balcony, with wine couple of beers presents dinner and awesome weather and view 👍🙏

The location was central to our needs and the view was outstanding the spacious rooms were a welcome relief to the cramped hotel rooms. We recommend this location to everyone as the place to stay in Darwin.
