"We absolutely loved our time at Residencia Santa Clara!! It was gorgeous, pristine, so comfortable, and in a great part of town. We loved the air conditioning and starfruit welcome drink after a hot day of travel and everyone was incredibly welcoming. The mojitos were the best we had in Cuba (fresh limes!), and we loved our chats with Serguey. Yuli was absolutely amazing and helped us feel at home; she also helped find a last minute taxi. The food and coffee! So delicious. We had amazing internet the whole time but luckily didn’t really need it because we were soaking up every second in Havana. The room was so comfortable; no noise, great view, excellent water pressure. The rooftop deck was incredible! We honestly could’ve stayed a week inside the hotel and been happy, it’s that wonderful. Worth every penny. Thank you for your hospitality and for giving us such an amazing experience! We’ll be back! "

"I had a wonderful stay. I loved the staff and breakfast. The hotel is beautiful. It was very clean. It is an old historic building and a few things were a little in disrepair but I learned how difficult it is to get anything in Cuba, like materials. I enjoyed several meals at the restaurant across the street and they were good. There were other choices nearby but the streets are dark and lonely in this neighborhood. Also, I never had a problem taking a taxi into Old Havana but trying to get back can be challenging and expensive. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. The staff went above and beyond and I appreciated all of them! "

"This is a small hotel that is very close to most of the main attractions in old Havana. It is clean and quiet, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I think it is a family running the place. It is completely walkable to everywhere I wanted to go. The only things I could find to mention that were less than perfect was the wifi access, though that seems to be a problem throughout the country, so I certainly can not blame the hotel for that. And there was internet, it is just slow and a bit glitchy, but certainly workable so long as you are patient. Also, the restaurant on site seems nice, though I thought it was a bit expensive, so I chose to eat in the other places near by. Havana has no shortage of restaurants, and good food costs good money, but it was just a bit more than I was hoping to spend on this trip. That is not a criticism, just an observation. If I was back in Havana in the future I would not hesitate to stay here again."
