Restored Art Deco which is very well done. Rooms have bare minimum but price reflects that - still good value. Food is really good. Only downside was - couldn’t get wifi.
High commendation for the staff, who kindly notified us that we'd left our daughters favourite teddy behind, looked after it until we passed back through Cooma on the return trip.
The room was good too.
Accommodation, pub and restaurant combined, room is cleaned, but no coffee table and kettle supply, friendly staffs, reasonable price, Hotel right to the shopping street. We stayed here to go to Thredbo/Perisher Valleys about an hour drive.
This property was meticulously clean, which more than adequately made up for the dated appearance. The bed was comfortable enough, the room was warm, the shower water was hot and the pressure good. I stayed on a Wednesday night so I’m not sure how it would be on the weekend, but it was surprisingly quiet and I’m a light sleeper. The pub downstairs had a great atmosphere and a lot of locals - always a good sign! The food was also excellent - I highly recommend the pork ribs. If you’re looking for a budget place to stay in Cooma I would recommend this location.
The window for my room was about a metre or so away from the refrigeration motor for the kitchens. The motor runs during the night and is so loud that you can still hear it out in the corridor with the door to the room closed. You would have to be deaf as a stone to get a good night's with that noise.
The manager knows about the noise but doesn't care if it is messing up you travel plans.
Efficient/friendly staff.
Good country pub style accommodation

Not bad for a one night stay. Didn’t know there was shared bathrooms. Not much heating in the room but ok for a one night stay. The pub itself is nice!
Noisy rooms. Expect bed only. No toiletries. No hairdryer. No kettle. Smell in hall from bar. Bathroom very dated. Paint peeling. Temp ceiling. No exhaust.
This is proper, unpretentious old school pub accommodation of the type that is getting harder and harder to find these days. Room decor and facilities straight out of the 60s/70s but that’s not a bad thing, everything is still spotlessly clean and well kept, and it’s great value. Fantastic pub meals downstairs too!

Unfortunately due to a car breakdown en route, I had to cancel the afternoon I was due to arrive. I rang the hotel and Chris was really understanding and recommended I follow up with Wotif to explain what happened and seek a refund, which was subsequently received. Although I didnt get there, I was very pleased with the support I received from the hotel & Wotif.
The room was clean and warm. Not expensive. Just what we expected for the money. The shared bathroom facilities were good enough for a one-night visit.
This is a nice solid older style hotel that had a welcome roaring fire on a cold night in a well patronised bar. We had a room next to the shared amenities, with a heater (no aircon). Beds were very comfortable and room was surprisingly quiet. This is budget accomodation and priced accordingly. Especially appreciated as all motels were fully booked for day 1 of snow season.
Lovely and modern restored room. Restaurant was awesome even for a vegetarian the choices were many and delicious!! Room was a bit tight for me but that’s because the bed’s huge. Had trouble finding a spot for my bag. But noisy but it is a thriving pub.
Clean rooms and shared bathroom. Rooms are small but adequate.
Good pub food reasonably priced.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Easy place to stay for short/overnight accommodation.
The old feel aspect to the hotel was just what I was looking for, including the draftsman's drawings of the 1938 layout of the hotel on the first floor
Alpine Hotel was located conveniently between the NSW Central Coast and Gippsland in Victoria, as my wife and I made our way home from a family function. It's neat, clean and reasonably priced considering the time of year and it's proximity to the snow fields.

We arrived on a busy night with a local sports team presentation. The staff were all friendly and still had time for check in and meals. The meals were great in a comfortable restraunt.
The single room was nice and clean and the lady at the reception/bar was super polite and friendly.
The shared bathroom was missing a fan and vafter a shower it felt like walking in a fog 🙄
The whole issue with this property is i booked through wotif which enforces you to make ratings and ridiculous reviews of certain word levels. Its like being back at school. This is why as a platinum flyer i have found you can book this deal on Qantas.com.au without copping all the follow up emails but get the same deal. This is also same with the sites the same company owns.

Exactly what it says on the tin, but cleaner than most. Comfortable, clean bed and friendly service.
Slightly noisy though - and an annoying window rattle, ultimately fixed by jamming some folded paper in to the window frame.
