The setting was gorgeous , terrific mountain views. Accomodation set well back from the road so very quiet and peaceful. Very engaging , hospitable and professional staff. Newly renovated room was fresh and contemporary. Pool bar was fun

Modern accommodation with absolutely stunning views of the valley. We spent our night relaxing in the spa with cocktails and pizza from the bar.

The view and location is stunning. They have recently added a pool area with a bar and wood fire pizza oven as well. Quiet and relaxing, ticks all the boxes!

The property looked newly refurbed. Everything was clean and modern. The only negative was the noise levels. All rooms are connected.

I hate writing bad reviews especially when the staff were so helpful BUT...! $280 per night for a tiny room that might be OK for New York or Tokyo But is certainly not OK for Bellingen regional New South Wales! Where were the fresh flowers, the fruit bowl, the bottle of Champagne? Nowhere to be seen! Likewise the towels until we rang reception! The free internet was useless and the kettle fused the wall electrics early on Sunday morning! The wash basin in the bathroom was so small you could hardly clean your teeth let alone have a shave! All new fittings but what was the architect thinking! Nice alpacas (3) and a pool we did not use! Grossly overpriced - wrong business model!

We were greeted in a warm friendly manner. Our room was very clean, spacious and quiet. Even tho, there is a major upgrade of Bellingen Valley Lodge, this never impacted on our stay. Only a couple of minutes drive into pretty Bellingen town centre. Highly recommend.

In the middle of being renovated so it would be unfair to mark it down. Our room was a little tired, but it was fine for an overnight stay. I would definitely go back in the future when the Reno’s are done.

Great outlook towards the ranges. Friendly reception. However rooms are quite dated and in need of refurbishment. Bellingen is a great spot unfortunately not many choices for accommodation.

Lovely place, friendly staff. Whilst it is not far out of town, the road into town is too dangerous to walk after dark, and their on site restaurant is only open Thursdays and Fridays.

Renovation needed
The motel is old and worn out. They have started some renovations stuff everywhere now substandard. Has not been upgraded for around 30years.

The room was clean and bed comfortable however, there was a large construction project about two rooms down which started at 7:30am and dampened the stay. We had a long drive the day before and wanted to sleep in and relax but couldn’t. No prior warning was provided regarding the noise from the machinery and hammering. When the front desk picked up the phone at 8:30am they apologised and informed me that the workers weren’t meant to start until 8:30am and that next time I would get a discount on a future stay. The person said they would tell the workers to stop but by then I just said forget it as the machinery was so loud that one could barely hear the other person on the other side of the phone and I just wanted to leave. The heater would also not turn on in room 16 so the room was freezing and the walls were so thin you could hear word for word the television and people chatting next door. If the staff had more consideration for their guests I would have recommended this place but I felt annoyed and unrested upon leaving.

Pretty much a motel rebranded as a 'Lodge'. On the downside the walls were thin and the single bed was wobbly. On the upside the staff were very helpful and the setting seemed quite nice.

Couple’s retreat
This place is just what we needed,its amazing.It has a really homely feel and the pool is really well kept. You get to hand feed 3 funny alpacas,walk around the country side and take in the view.I found all the staff to be happy and helpful.Unfortunately missed out on the restaurant due to renovations that will be a great addition.Cant wait to come back when it’s open and maybe even try the glamping tents up across the mountain.Such a great place and really recommend it.
