This was largely a comfortable and good hotel. The main thing that leads me to deduct some points from the service part of my review is how badly breakfast was handled. We stayed two nights. On one night, when the hotel was also frequented by a large tour group, we got a nice, extensive breakfast buffet. However, the other night, there were fewer guests and the breakfast consisted of a very limited offering and table service (no menu) rather than a buffet. Whereas this may be understandable in certain circumstances, not only did we get a limited range of options, the bread served was clearly from at least one day before and rock hard, dried out and pretty much inedible. This should definitely not be the case. We paid a fairly high amount (for Cuba) for both of our nights of stay, so should not have received such a terrible breakfast experience on one of our nights.
