Didnt like the foldout bed which was not mentioned, kept tripping over it. Quilt had stains, dirty lounge, not very clean overall.

Needed a last minute accommodation in Canberra and we decided to treat ourselves to an apartment at Ovolo Nishi. The studio apartment was nice, but feel we would pick the hotel room next time instead. The balcony and view of the lake was the winning point for the apartment.

Architecturally beautiful, back of house need week
This was the second time i have stayed here. Both times someone from house keeping has let themselves into my room shortly after check in. My first room was great, unfortunately i booked an apartment for the second stay and it was quite cramped, i also didn’t have any glasses, coffee/t, utensils. There was also a terrible smell coming from the drains. Bar staff were friendly however their pos system could use an upgrade, to order one drink took a long time as they needed to press 100 buttons just to get the sale through.

The unit was nice enough but it was not convenient and not value for money- parking is $35-$40/night. Staff not friendly or helpful when asking simple questions (wifi/gym). Building is interesting but if you want a unit (e.g. I wanted small kitchen and washer/dryer) there at much more comfortable and less expensive options within easy walking distance. They’ve gone to extreme to be modern at the expense of comfort and ease for travellers.

Apartments were great but pots and pans not so goo - Hadley’s got extremely hot 🔥 and I burnt my hands.Couch uncomfortable and cover kept sliding off Champagne and chocolates were appreciated

We had a great 1 night stay, the beds were very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The restaurant downstairs and bar area was amazing enjoyed dinner and breakfast and only a short walk to lake. We will be back

The entrance and main area of the hotel is excellent. However, the apartment we stayed in was unmanageably hot and the eco feature of this hotel was torture. So much so we checked out early and forfeited the costs of the additional. Staff all seemed good food etc. The actual apartment was below average and uncomfortable but I’d not give it a second thought if it wasn’t for the heat, which seems amplified compared to outside

Ain’t a value for money experience. Lake facing apartment is directly facing the busy motorway which is extremely noisy. Dishwasher door is way too loose that swing downwards with full force that causes bruises to my legs. As the room is non aircon, it’s definitely way too hot for summer stay.

Great place, easy access to Parkes express way, but comes at a cost of the noise when outside. Inside is quite though. The views are magical, and the venue amazing. Front desk staff were awesome too.

Really liked the reception/ bar / restaurant area of the Hotel and foyer design. Apartment was disappointing, it was not cleaned properly. Areas showed recent poor quality repairs from what look like water ingress which contributed to a very musty smell.

Overall, it was an excellent stay however reception need to be a little more helpful with parking options. Being told all guest parking was reserved and that all that was available was public parking which was all taken by the time we arrived was a little stressful. Especially given we were staying as part of my wedding the best day and had a tonne of gear to carry up to the room. Luckily we circled for a good 40 mins and found a public car park in the hotel underground parking. Suggest some kind of explicit notice to say guests to book parking prior to stay on all websites that offer accomodation at the Ovolo/Nishi apartments

Ovolo is great. The foyer has got a cute buzz most evenings. The room service menu is a little limited. The staff are really lovely and helpful. I think that is what made this stay special - the wonderful staff.

I stayed here as where I normally stay was booked out This is an Eco Friendly hotel which is great although I would prefer to have air conditioning when it’s hot I was going to have dinners at Monsters but the menu is all Vegan/ Vegeterian and I’m sure with 500 rooms on offer you probably should be catering to everyone’s needs. The location is great and the staff are friendly but that’s about n I won’t stay here again

Overall average stay
Good location, clean and new property. However, no air conditioning made it very uncomfortable. Also, when I booked there was no mention of $35 a day parking so I end up parking $70 for two nights which made is very costly.
