The hotel staff were very nice and the pool restaurant area was an amazing experience. Being able to swim and have a drink close by and food was the relaxing aspect I was looking for on my work trip.

Hotel has really aged. The wall fan/air unit was very loud and cutting in and out all night. Without the fan on the room would go to 26 degrees. Bed was comfortable. Pillows small standard size on a king size bed and not very good. This hotel is overpriced for these reasons.

Housekeeping was amazing! I loved the pool. Staff were friendly. The hotel was quiet despite there being many guests. Parking was easy and the location of this hotel is pretty convenient for wanting to walk to a lot of things.

To start out with the good, the staff were friendly and super helpful. Any questions we had were quickly remedied. The location is also very convenient. My husband and I were able to walk to the Cowboy Casino and Saddledome in around 10 minutes tops. Moving on to the bad, it kicked off with a $100 incidental fee on top of the room fee that I was not aware I had to pay while checking in. You are refunded assuming there were no incidents, but I did not see anything regarding the fee while booking. The shower was not clean. My husband had kicked around some water while showering and revealed debris and corroded caulk between the shower floor and shower wall. The cooling/fan feature in the room did not work, so we were sweating all night. If you prefer a firm pillow to support your neck and shoulders, bring your own pillow as theirs provided no head support. If you’re allergic to mint or have sensitive skin, they provide mint soaps which may not be the most comfortable soap to use for some people (I’m looking towards the ladies here). The door was not able to close on its own and we had to physically make sure it latched since it did not fit in its doorway, and there was no additional room lock to keep it secured from the inside. Many of the underground parking spaces were closed off, specifically the ones closest to the stairway/elevator. Finally, they cut your Wi-Fi off at 11:59 pm, so you have to sign back in if you need to continue using it.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Everything was perfect from check in until our departure. Check in was flawless, staff were all efficient and very pleasant. Seamus in the bar was amazing, without being obvious he anticipated, and took care of our drink needs before we knew we had them lol. Hotel Arts will be our hotel of choice in Calgary.

This hotel feels like a resort getaway. Quiet and classy- brunch my the heated indoor (domed for winter) pool and a mock tail before bed by the poolside fire was a highlight.

Comfy beds and super friendly staff! Towels were super thin and scratchy, and for the price i was shocked by the one ply toilet paper but maybe i’m picky. We booked the Luxury double queen bed room. Nothing was overly “wow” about the room, but definitely had a good sleep which was nice! The room connected to ours by a tandem door reaked of weed, but that’s not the hotels fault.

We got married here 10 years ago and have a massive soft spot for Hotel Arts. We havent stayed in a while and wanted to go back, hit the pool and enjoy a rare night out. Sad to say, the rooms are TIRED. The bed corners are all torn up, the batroom has so much built up soap scum and what appears to be mold. The only nice this was that the beds are comfortable. The area around the hotel is getting more and more "unfriendly" but the staff do a good job of keeping the immediate area clear. The poolside is just ok. the ambiance is nice, best enjoyed at night. for good reason they serve all drinks in a plastic glass, but it is hard to justify a $15-$20 sub-par made cocktail out of a plastic glass while sitting next to the pool at a table (not swimming). All in all I think we will hold on the the memories of 10 years ago and stay elsewhere next time. I would say that for the price you pay on average at $200 a night, it's not worth it.
