We had a lovely stay and wish we could have stayed longer. It’s located within the rainforest and only 5 minutes away from shops. Felt we were in our own little world, away from everyone. Highly recommend for a family getaway. Plenty of day travel options, we did a jet boat ride, helicopter ride, Skyrail, train trip, the military museum and a lot of dining out in down town Cairns.

Amazing Stay
We had a family come in from Melbourne, Sydney and San Fransisco and I can honestly say everyone loved their trip. Brett was helpful throughout the trip, from the check in process to check out process. He was constantly in touch with us, in case we needed anything. The accomodation was amazing, well maintained with all ammenities provided. We are 100% coming back to stay in this property.

Privacy in the treetops
Brett’s place was a delight. You will feel hidden away in the rainforest i this tastefully decorated home. We stayed with extended family -grandparents, parents, teen/adult children. It was great to have space to spread out and relax. Brett had thought of pretty much everything and made sure to check in that we had everything we needed. You will wake up to the birds noises - the bush turkeys were present everyday. So a couple of technical things -there was plenty of cookware, dishware etc so you can cook to you hearts content, we used the BBQ too. The bathrooms are large, with plenty of towels and the hot water abundant. Note the bathroom on the main level has a shower over the jetted tub so could be challenging to get into if you have limited mobility. The lower level bathroom has a walk in shower. This property is ideal for able bodied adults and children over 3. I did see baby gates if you have toddlers - but be aware this property has stairs and is on a steep hill. Our grandma had some difficulty with the rough steps in the garden as she has significant mobility issues., but that said most of the property worked great for her and she was able to enjoy the stay. Internet and streaming services were great, fast. Brett will give you the access codes. This property is away from the hustle and bustle of down town, but 5 min from groceries etc. so you have the feel of being away from it all but still have the conveniences. Which was perfect for us. You will need a car for this property. It is a 20 min drive to downtown Cairns, to the boats for reef trips etc. The Kuranda railway/sky rail are 5 -10 min. The airport 15 min. Also note this property does not have a pool but there is a local swimming hole just 5 minutes away - it is gorgeous, quiet and only used by the locals. Brett will give you directions. This is the perfect place for a group, that wants to feel like they are away from it all but have every convenience within a few minutes drive. Pro tip- book directly with Brett for a discount
