Staff is the best, all staff, from reception, cleaning and maintenance. Really enjoyed our stay. Convenient location to bus loop to get into downtown and for tour pickups. Good for walking to restaurants and beaches. Such a friendly place to be.

What an awesome place to stay. Great value! Over looking the pool. Great room, 2 cool air cons, balcony, everything you need in a kitchen. Close to the beach and restaurants. Very friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Definitely will be back again.

Internet was not useable. Cockroaches in room. Roll away bed extremely uncomfortable. Lovely pool and beautiful location/grounds. Overall it was acceptable but not worth the amount paid.

Considering I arrived the day after Cyclone Jasper crossed the coast, my apartment was ready early, The following three days were eventful to say the least with the power, internet and mobile phone reception intermittently being down - this was a consequence of the catastrophic rain event and at one stage on the Saturday, Trinity Beach was isolated due to road closures, I have been to FNQ in December many times over the years but this was certainly one to remember. That said l, the staff at Blue Lagoon are friendly, efficient and have a great attitude even in these difficult circumstances.

Always a wonderful stay at this property, I've come here a few times in between work contracts and am never disappointed. Very relaxing with instant tropical holiday vibes. The accommodation is always very comfy and clean, parking is effortless, the 2 pools are superb and the location is perfect to beaches, cafes, restaurants, and public transport.

This was the second time we stayed at the blue lagoon the staff were great with check in, very helpful with things to do in Cairns. The property was maintained and very clean.

Booked 7 nights and stayed for 10! Amazing place and great value for money. 1 bedroom apartment was beautiful, clean, well equipped. $4 for the bus to cairns dont bother with a taxi/Uber unless you’re in a rush. Both pools were quiet, plenty of sun beds. Local area was also nice, 5 minute walk to the beach and a few bars to chose from. Il Chiosco is a beautiful Italian restaurant about 10/15 minute walk from the apartments and was the best meal out in all of cairns.

Quiet place, 5 minute walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. Everything thing you need for a small beach community. Great staff. The room was nice and clean. Didn’t like that the bathroom had no exhaust fan and not enough towel rails.

Enjoyed the heated pool. Great Thai restaurant and cafe next to site. Bus stop right outside. Free laundry was super handy too! Flat was well equipped with kitchenette and nice balcony.

The property was well kept and modern, spacious and clean. Well placed for a quiet holiday away from the city (about a 25 min drive) but still having convenient amenities close by with a few dining options, supermarkets, bakery, takeaways and bottle shop. We stayed in a 2 bed standard apartment and it was excellent.

What a beautiful place to stay, a retreat away from it all. Gorgeous grounds & 2 wonderful swimming pools. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment, very comfortable with a generous balcony. The bed is so incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended choosing this as a place to stay.

Nothing like advertised/pics. Threadbare carpets with nails sticking out, rotted wood in bathroom, only 2 towels for the 6 night stay for 2 people. Not advised of no lifts, given 3rd floor in the older section of property having to haul luggage up stairs. Outdated and very uncomfortable bed and lounge furniture. The word’ luxury’ needs to be removed from description. The highlight was that the property is 2 mins walk from the esplanade, the room wasn’t enjoyable so spent as little time there as possible.

The room was nice and the large pool too but the smaller warm pool was in general poor condition, small and not in good repair. The birds that screamed at night were very annoying.

Unfortunately the wifi is very slow, smoke alarm was hunging down from roof with no battery Both A/C remotes had flat batteries we asked staff for new batteries and they gladly gave us new remotes. Great choice of places to eat within walking distance

A fine stay if you don’t need any frills. More like a motel than a hotel. Wifi and mobile coverage is terrible so it’s hard to search for things in the area or make plans if you need to do so.

Good value Studio Apartment
Great Studio apartment overlooking lagoon. Basic kitchenette with a good size refrigerator is provided. TV was fairly small and wifi was slow. Close to beach and restaurants, the location is convenient and quiet. Heated pool was popular with guests. Be aware some apartments are walk up to 2nd floor.

Lovely place. Although charging $2.50 for a pool towel is a bit rich. And if you are above restaurant which we were there were many loud sounds very early in the morning. Bins clanking, ice being crushed.

Stayed for 5 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment. On checking in at 1.40pm were told our apartment was not ready as check-in was at 2pm & asked if we would like to go for a walk etc until check-in time. We said we'd just wait and straight away an apartment became available. With our booking we were supposed to get a bottle of wine which was not given or in the apartment but when I went back to reception was given a bottle of wine. The apartment was small and looking tired. The laminex kitchen was small and all the cupboards were either extremely high or very low. The TV was a tiny 32 in. Was a king size bed. Pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a large shower though the bathroom vanity was very small with not much space to put anything. The balcony was a good size with a couple of comfortable chairs as well as a table & 2 chairs (there was no table inside the apartment). Wifi was weak. Location was good – just a few minutes walk to restaurants/cafes and the beach.
