Wow, this dark room was pretty nasty and damp and they did not clean the private rooms until after 4 nights. Staff were not helpful with anything either. Reasonable prices for the area but really regret staying there.

Great base for the beach
In a 4 bed dorm with en suite. Room was clean , large, luggage lockers for each bunk. A/c was the quietest I'd stayed in on this month long trip. Although lots of schoolies staying, the large, immacutaly clean kitchen and dining area coped with the numbers. This is a modern building and is an ideal, affordable place to stay in Byron Bay

The rooms are big and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean. The place is beautiful. There aren’t many free activities.

Comfortable Stay
First time I have stayed at a hostel/backpackers, the experience was excellent. Friendly staff at check in, room was clean, and comfortable bed. The location was also very good, close to everything so can walk easily anywhere.

Perfect location and atmosphere
We loved the atmosphere of the place, and the great area provided to cook and chill. Everyone left it really clean and was respectful to others space. The rooms were a good size, clean and we had A/C in our private room plus a fan, so nice and cool. Would highly recommend for couples and singles

We stayed in the premium double ensuite with aircon and it was fantastic, me and my husband loved it! modern, clean and quiet. So glad we went with this! The pictures don’t do it justice! Choose this place over the dodgy looking place you won’t regret it

A very good experience
The rooms were very clean and the people that works there was very friendly and helpful regarding any questions we have! The only disappointment was that I had food I brought specifically for a birthday and stored/dated so that it won’t be rid of during our stay with the YHA and this lasted 1 night and our food was no where to be found. Other than that the renovations are really well put and the location is superb!

I stayed in a private room. I specially booked a private room with wifi because I had to work remotely. The room had absolutely no natural light whatsoever so you couldn’t tell day from light . Because the window was so small and also boxed off from the outside, there was also no phone reception whatsoever and no internet - it would disconnect every couple of minutes so I couldn’t work . Reception offered me $10 Compensation. Other than that the room was super clean and nice.

Stayed in en-suite double room - great shower and comfortable bed. Room has a smart TV but the WiFi wasn’t strong enough for Netflix to work. Communal kitchen and living areas are really nice.

Great stay in Byron Bay
Good hostel and a relaxing stay! Rooms are spacious and comfy, with good lockers! Faculties are excellent with a great kitchen and pool. I hired a bike for $8 and it was a great way to explore the town and the beach.

We stayed for 2 nights on the 3rd floor. Very happy with the room, shower and bed. Lift was great, friendly staff on the counter when checking in / out and asking about parking as there is street parking meters which we didn't see when we first arrived. (no ticket though) Friday night was noisier than Saturday but to be expected in a backpacking accom. We enjoyed the youthful vibe it gave. Love the area - One does wonder about the conditions of the roads in Byron Bay Generally.

First time staying in a hostel. Private rooms were good. Basic but clean. Good facilities. Great location. Hostel was fairly quiet, this would reflect the time of the year. Overall good value for money!

Great Place, not one for communal living but this was a nice experience. The en-suite female dorm was very comfortable, and the group guest experiences were great. There was a BBQ night and a Pizza night, I went on a snorkle trip at a discount thanks to the YHA. I did laundry and cooked my own food, It is great for long term travelers. Sure you have to pay extra for WiFi in your room, but in my mind, equal to a bottle of wine to last you a few days.. money well spent.

Modern hostel, close to town
Stayed in Byron for one night for a gig at the Northern and the YHA was ideal. Clean, well presented, modern and tidy, it’s an easy 10 min walk from the centre of town. All for an excellent price. Not sure if it would suit longer stays as, being a hostel, it lacks some of the in room facilities of hotels; fridge, iron etc, but perfect for a weekend or short visit

Fantastic YHA, accomodation far exceeded our expectation. The room was modern and practical, few adjustments I would make; light above the mirror in the bathroom and USB ports for charging in one electric point. The pancake breakfast was delicious overall great accomodation and would highly recommend.

Modern and simple
New room with modern and simple style. Clever idea to use small stool as bedside table. We use it to put our shower stuffs in the shower room. However, it would be more convenient if there’s a desk under TV. Double bed is good size for people who under 170cms tall. Wall Fan is practical but not quiet match the room style. Would love to stay next time.
