Close to town.
I didn't realise it was going to be like sharing a room within a house.
We stayed in a room with a small Bathroom and shower. No cupboard to hang clothes.
Not my cup of tea.
Loved the old country house architecture and all the facilities, including the gardens.
The traffic noise was a bit loud, perhaps some double glazing on front windows?
And a microwave in the kitchen.
Wished I could have stayed longer💕
The property is beautifully appointed, the grounds are very pretty, the bed was very comfortable and it was a short was up the block to several good food options.
So happy we found this place, it dished up the perfect weekend experience, the guesthouse alone made the trip such an amazing experience but the surrounding township delivered in the cafe / food department complemented by the shops lining the streets
My bf and I stayed overnight here while on our way to visit his sister. Such a beautiful place to stay in. We love the space and comfortable bed. Will definitely come back to stay here next time we’re visiting.
Beautiful buildings, lovely setting on the river. Short walk into town. Birds in trees. Particularly lover the backstory of the doctor building the consulting rooms in the early 1900's. Feel you can do more with this - a shop owner in town (25 year veteran) thinks the small buildings were brought to the site on the back of a truck in a recent renovation.
A beautiful setting for wonderfully restored and adapted guesthouse accommodation. Less appreciated was the too small suite rooms with no adequate seating space to relax except in the common areas. The absence of staff for the duration of our 2 day stay made the place feel somewhat sterile. It made us realise that the human side of holiday accommodation experience adds an enormous amount. For all the beauty of the setting I'm not sure we'd want to do it again.
We loved our quick getaway staying at the Bangalow Guesthouse. We stayed in the Miller Apartment for 2 nights and we were very impressed. Very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The surrounding gardens down to the creek were lovely also. Would love to visit again one day.
Could not operate the television and no instructions available. After consulting with two other guests, none of us could make it work.
The one and only disappointing aspect of our stay.
Delightful heritage riverside location with spacious grounds. Immaculate communal spaces in the original house, should one care to share. Our chalet was of a matching standard.
