Great location to explore the north coast of Tassie. Nice views, clean and comfortable. A little noisy with traffic on the highway, but overall we were very pleased with our stay!

We stayed in the Beach apartment which was very tidy, modern, clean & comfortable with thoughtful detail. The only thing missing, in my view, for families with children particularly, is an outside gate at the front of the apartments. The front door and steps are near a very busy highway and the additional security provides a bit more comfort with peace of mind.

Burnie by the bay was a nice property with good washing/drying facilities. The only let down was the traffic noise. The property was on a main road with cars and trucks whizzing by all night. With only single glazed windows it was like a door was open all night, the traffic noise was so loud at all hours it made it difficult to sleep.

Property was nice enough but the traffic noise was terrible. Front bedroom should have double glazing. Also bedrooms needed at least fans as were quite stuffy. Would be very hot in summer. If promoting as luxury accommodation these should be standard as air conditioning was only in main area. Otherwise good.

Property is close to boardwalk, an easy walk leading into town. It is also close to The Penguin Observation experience, which was very interesting. The apartments are quite noisy, given they are situated close to traffic lights on a main road. One very minor note, it is unusual to find a unit like this without a box of tissues. All other amenities were great.

The apartment was clean & comfortable. The biggest drawback was the noise from the highway & the noise from the apartment upstairs the constant banging of kids running up & down was a big drawback. Understandably that was outside the control of the owners. It was nice to be just across the road from the penguins & within an easy walk to cafes, shops & restaurants.

Great value
This place was very well located however was on the main road so was a little noisy with trucks. For four people, it would have been nice to have more comfy couches rather than just the one. Great facilities for cooking and great value for the money.

whilst the apartment was very clean and modern and close to town. If you like a firm bed and thin pillows and doona and don't mind traffic noise then this location will suit your needs.

It was a really lovely apartment, it felt new and very clean. While the location was really central for a lot of great food and tourism options, we did find the reality of staying here a bit different from the picture; when we looked at it, we got a feeling of a relaxed, quiet beachside, esplanade venue. When we arrived we realised we were staying right next to a major road - we don't actually know how they managed to take a picture with no cars in it!! A smaller matter was the continental breakfast, I thought they would come and refresh the supplies on the second day, but as it was we ran out of milk, teas, and tinned fruit. But all in all, it was a lovely stay, the service was excellent, the tips of places to visit was 10/10(!) and we were glad to stay here.

As your booking was for 2 nights we did provide extra milk, bread, spreads, cereals enough tea & coffee for 2 nights with added extras such as a Tasmanian cheese taster, biscuits & a welcome chocolate each. As advised on check in we did advise to let us know if you required any top ups as our apartments are serviced every 3 days. Absolutely thrilled with our stay at Burnie by the Bay Apartments. We booked the apartment lat minute and Jaci & Colin were so accommodating. The Ocean Deluxe Apartment is perfect for families, and the inclusion of breakfast was wonderful.

Beautifully appointed apartment, a lot of TLC in the decorations and setting up. Sunny, airy and within walking distance to the shopping centre and the beach. Friendly host.

Stay was cosy with a clean accommodation and it has laundry facilities. Lovely places to see eg Penquins in Burnie, Tulip show at Table Cape, lovely rhododendrons blooms in Emu Rhododendron Gardens, Highfield historic site in Stanley and lunch at Hurseys seafood there too.

Modern upstairs apartment with everything you need supplied. Very clean and tidy, even a spa bath! Wifi and breakfast supplied. Sea views from the balcony and a short walk to dining precinct. Jacquie and Colin very welcoming. Highly recommended.

The owners were lovely - the accommodation was very nice with just a couple of small observations- there was no where for bags or clothes in the twin room. The other is it would be good to have a fan for anyone who does not like aircon.

Thankyou for staying at Burnie by the Bay . We do provide a large chest of drawers in single bedroom and have allowed room under the beds for cases to fit . As Tasmania does not have a long summer we do not need ceiling fans . The air conditioners are a large size for the apartments and work well on heat or cool settings. The accommodation is very nice with modern fixtures (dishwasher is a big plus), furniture is adequate for family of 4. Good facility, including laundry with dryer and abundant of washing powders and baskets. The only improvement suggestion is a more heavy duty drape to cut out the traffic noise, as the place is front on to the busy highway. The hosts are very friendly.

Beautiful appartments, excellent location exactly as described in the reviews. The host of the apartment were teriffic and very friendly and made you welcome. i would highly recommend this apartment for your next stay in burnie........ only negative was the apartment was located in on main drag and a bit noisy late afternoon and early morning (fine during sleeping hours)

Clean, well appointed villa.
On main hwy, at traffic lights but when telly on did not notice and by 8pm hardly any traffic at all, parking average when all tenants in. On arrival no communication on the features of the wonderful villa but that’s the only fault, wonderful park opposite with the walk to the penguins and another small wildlife like park over the road, wonderful couple of hrs. Walk around. Close enough to town centre to walk, especially along the beach front.

Lovely Apartment.
Highly reccomend staying here. Jaci is so accommodating. As we arrived late the heater was on and the apartment was cozy and warm for us. All the little extras they offer just make you feel like your at home. Thankyou so much. We hope to visit again soon.

I stayed there a few weeks ago with some friends and went to a hens night. I convinced my partner to stay there again for the wedding day. I never do things like this so I dint mind paying the price for a bit more luxury had a great time.
