The Cove Oceanfront Retreat, Upstairs Apartment - Pet friendly

This unique pet friendly oceanfront retreat has the main residence and two fully self contained private guest apartments. Guests and their pets have full access to the outside areas. Everyone loves the peace and tranquility of The Cove so please do not ask visitors over before asking permission as everyone enjoys their privacy. The one bedroom apartment is upstairs. The main bedroom on the oceanfront has stunning views with an ensuite and spa. The apartment is spacious with a separate lounge room and fully equiped kitchen. Entry is via the lounge room which has 2 balconies. It contains a large double day bed and lounge. The lounge room can be closed off and has the main bathroom/ laundry beside it making the apartment suitable for a couple, a small family or two single people.
All of the outdoor areas are shared with stunning views overlooking the ocean. There is a large pool, an entertainment area with bbq, and a relaxing gazebo for chilling out. The deck on the lower area overlooking the rockpools is perfect for breakfast or afternoon drinks. The yard is fully fenced making it perfect for pets. We just ask that pets are not left unattended. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet with you. We have a great list of pet friendly suggestions.
The rock pools are our backyard. Dolphins and whales can sometimes be spotted passing by. Mon Repo Turtle Rookery is a 15 minute drive away. The nightly tours are a great experience, make sure you book in advance. There is a cafe/bakery and delightful tidal swimming lagoon is a few minutes walk away. The lagoon has bbq facilities and amenities making it great for group gatherings. There is a scenic walking track to Barolin Rocks with snorkelling and diving. The convenience store is nearby. Enjoy a round of golf with 2 courses in the area. A trip to the Bundy Rum Distillery is always interesting or book a boat trip to Lady Musgrave Island or a plane flight to beautiful Lady Elliot. They both have wonderful snorkelling. There is a convenience shop nearby. Elliot Heads Beach is beautiful and is a 10 minute drive. Visit Bargara with it's cute shops and restaurants. There is a courtesy bus to Sandhills Sports Club Wednesday through to Saturday nights and Elliot Heads Bowls Club, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bargara Lakes Tavern Saturday and Sunday.

Pet-friendly piece of paradise by the ocean - exceptional hosts
Corinne and Bill are exceptional hosts and so lovely and welcoming - extraordinary hospitality and communication - it is such a privilege to be able to holiday with my furbaby! Upstairs apartment is very comfortable and well-appointed (Corinne has thought of everything, even breakfast supplies) - kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for self-catering holiday - stunning views (especially sunrise) over the ocean as well as cooling breezes and set in beautiful resort style grounds with pool, barbeque area and gazebo overlooking the ocean (perfect spot to relax with a wine and cheese at the end of the day, listening to the waves and watching the sea eagles soar overhead). Highly recommend this piece of paradise - this is a return visit - thank you for having us, Corinne and Bill - hope to be back again soon!

Location, location, location
What a location, what a view! It was a struggle to find pet-friendly accommodation in this area where our 4-legged family members are allowed indoors, so with The Cove Apartment we hit the jackpot! Love the spacious rooms, the Spanish style balcony overlooking the courtyard, and of course the amazing Balinese inspired backyard with The View! Some parts of the place need a bit of TLC, but it’s clean and comfortable, and the tranquil surrounds, wildlife (kangaroos, birdlife) on the doorstep, park, lagoon and bakery within easy walking distance, and did I mention the view (?), compensate for it all. Thank you Corinne and Bill, for sharing your home with strangers, and thank you caretakers Wendy, Shane and 4-legged Coco for making us all feel welcome!

Relaxation and wildlife at Coral Cove
We could have our Westie with us and he had lots of room to run free and was allowed the run of the apartment. The patio in our apartment was a good start for outdoor breakfast, and the outdoor general lounge areas and bbq were perfect. A few steps down to the foreshore where we could lounge in chairs and watch sea eagles and whales. Friendly managers and a most relaxing holiday. Thank you

The property is incredibly clean and the beds are comfortable. We appreciated the breakfast items in the frig. Falling asleep every night to the sound of ocean waves through the window was so peaceful. There are many fantastic options for spending time outside, enjoying the stunning view. Hammocks, multiple levels of chairs and loungers, a beautiful swimming pool…all make the time outside enjoyable. Corrine was warm and friendly on our arrival and responded quickly to any questions we had during our stay. My son and I spent our visit feeling so grateful she chooses to share this fantastic space with others. If you’re looking for a lovely, peaceful, comfortable place to stay, look no further.

Mini utopian cove
We’re the kind of people that if our fur baby can’t join us somewhere, we’re probably going to change our plans to make sure she can… When we stumbled across this place we were skeptical but desperate and needing a break from our crammed 12 hour roadtrip with an 8 month old and a giant puppy dog. The second we stepped foot onto the property we were greeted by the lovely Corinne and her warm smiling face 😊 She encouraged our fur baby to follow her out the back to the AMAZING views and relaxing entertaining areas. She really made the whole family feel welcome and at home. We nearly became permanent residents as our initial 1-2night stay turned into a 3 night stay and would have been a 4th if it wasnt booked out already! The upstairs apartment may be on the older side but is furnished lovely and has everything you could need, including a washing machine! It’s kept in immaculate condition, everything is super clean and comfortable. I always clean everything first in kitchen areas before use when staying somewhere, however I didn’t feel the need to here as it was so well presented and cared for. The little touches such as a netflix account labelled for each unit was a particular favourite for our cocomelon loving bub to enjoy on his downtime indoors. If you enjoy the ocean lulling you to sleep each night, breath taking views and a place the WHOLE family including puppers are welcome, you cannot pass up a visit here! We can’t wait to come back and visit! Thanks guys!
