To start, when I arrived they could not find my reservation but said they had a room that was less expensive. Hmmm since I never showed my copy how do they know what I requested if they never got it? The room had an iron gate that secured a small courtyard area but on mine the handle was broken and could not be closed or locked. I was traveling alone but ended up with a room with two very tiny beds (maybe even smaller than US twin size) and there were a few small items (including a toy car) underneath the beds.
I will say this hotel is in a great area around San Telmo, and the setup with ivy walls along outdoor corridors within the complex has charm. Perhaps I just caught a bad room on a bad day (arriving Good Friday and departing Easter Sunday). Inconvenient that the gentleman who checked me in did not speak English, but being in Argentina that language skill would be a bonus and not an expectation.
