While the Faena was an innovative and beautiful hotel back in the day, it felt very tired and old during our stay in March 2024. The room configurations are small and tight. The paint was chipped, the shower had been re-grouted with the wrong color and the toilet thumped for an hour after each flush. The hotel is also located relatively far from any cool restaurant you will find on Eater, GOOP or other reliable places. Sadly, Faena is just past its prime and in need of an update.

This is an interesting venue for staying in Buenos Aires, however it is disturbing the large number of professionals offering sex to the guests under the very eyes of all employees. What could be an upscale hotel, due to some employees' attitude and the hotel condescendence with outside users offering sex makes Faena a not recommendable place to go.

Playful design with sexy look. The Argentinan restaurant blew us away, my husband said this was possibly the best steak he ever had. The smart TV was smarter than us and we couldn’t make it work

I had roaches in my room. The overall state of the room was nowhere near the level of a 5 star hotel. I thoroughly recommend you do not stay here and stay at the Alevear Palace instead, which for the same price will give you a true 5 star experience

The Hotel is beautiful the decoration is amazing. The combination with new and antiques objects we really enjoy. For sure get the breakfast at el Mercado is an amazing buffet with so many options to eat as well as as unlimited Mimosas. When we check in everyone was very helpful and friendly Marina and her team makes us feel very welcome we go a room upgraded with a beautiful card, chocolates and a bottle of Faena Malbec. Francisco was also very helpful coordinating our dinner and multiple events we had, he was always very friendly and willing to help us anytime. The room are beautiful decorated clean and we got the upgraded to a bigger room we had our son with us so we can be very more comfortable. Thanks Marina for that upgraded. In general we love the hotel and everyone who work there. We will definitely come back when we will be back in Buenos Aires. I highly recommend the hotel.

Wonderful hotel in PUERTO in MADERO. Excellent staff, facility, and location. Only one negative thing: if you stay on a lower floor facing the pool, there is a lot of noise from music until late at night. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Best service ever in a trendy property
The Faena hotel has the best service I've encountered in a while. All the staff was attentive and willing to help. The bar, pool and restaurant Mercado are also amazing. It's a very trendy place. Are the rooms a little dated? Perhaps, but so are most of BA hotels.

The room was showing its age. Though the hotel tried to upgrade us to a bigger room, it was practically street level, the room was not very well furnished. There was not enough place to put luggage, backpacks and carryons. The hotel restaurant was convenient and good. But it was very expensive. Overall, it was ok. I’ll probably look for a different place next time

A pleasant stay
A couple of days stay after celebrating the year in BA. We moved from the Four Seasons to this hotel after visiting it for the NYE celebrations. It was a nice hotel stay. Not much to do in the area.

Very nice hotel, would be better though with a dedicated concierge as the service can be a little spotty. Not very central but BA is easy to get around with taxi and Uber. Room service food is terrible.

I will compare this hotel with other nice Hotels I stayed in the last 12 months: Palácio Estoril, Mondrian at Sea Containers London, Gran Hyatt Rio de Janeiro, Tivoli Mofahej São Paulo, Colonade Coral Gabels, Golden Tulip Brasilia, Sofitel Carrasco Montevideo. I suggest the reader to check these hotels to balance my opinion about Faena. Faena has far the worst cost benefit I’ve ever stayed in my life. We asked for 2 beds and what we got was 2 single beds, for 400USD/night. Power outlets behind the bed force you to bend like praying to charge your computer. No USB available. The conference room had a broken chandelier, iron tubes bad painted... Good gym. Staff extremely nice. Restaurant service impeccable.
