The cabin was showing it’s age The television didn’t pick up any stations We couldn’t work out how to operate the very old stove When I went to use the barbecue equipment they where out of gas

The relief manager wa extremely rude. The property is run down . We were quoted a price when we booked but on arrival we were changed almost double and as we were booked on the ferry to KI had no choice but to pay .

Accommodation was basic but comfortable. Management were helpful. The park was right on the beach so good for a walk nor just to enjoy the view.

The greeting on arrival was an unpleasant list of circumstances where our behaviour would result in further charges. The outside was unkempt and grotty. The bed was like a hammock and should have been thrown out years ago.

Hello Trish, The Team is surprised to read the above comments and apologizes for any inconvenience. The office staff offered you a free upgrade, but unfortunately you declined. The Family Unit you booked for two people has two double beds and three singles with three new mattresses. Credit card details is a standard procedure upon check-in, when one has booked a unit, however you refused to comply until you were asked several times. Great location close to beach and city , what I didn’t like was dripping water tap in kitchen and bathroom and the surface outside the door .

The park is very run down and needs a real spruce up. However the amenities and cabin were very clean although dated. The camp kitchen is very good and we used it daily. It is a reflection of the town of Kingscote as it is going through a tough time, with many vacant shops in Main Street area.

This place has no aircon, no pillow, no blankets, only a very small heater and a fan you can live with. The toilet is outside the house, many ants and flies, kids are screaming somehow, even drunk people shut at early morning at 4am while you sleeping. Worst of worst.

Hello, The Two Bedroom Units and the Family Units all have air-conditioning, bedlinen, shower and toilet. You booked on-line the Basic Cottage which clearly states that the above is not included. This is a Caravan Park and we are happy to have children playing, especially during the Christmas and New Year period. The location of our cabin was excellent. Close enough to the beach to sit with a cup of tea or have breakfast. A lovely 40 mins to walk to Kingscote. The toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. The price was good value but some might have found it a little run down and too basic. There was a mixup as to linen. My understanding was supply sheets and pillow cases as per other places I have stayed in elsewhere. However, it means also supply blankets and pillows. Con was good enough to give us pillows when I asked about this. They will supply you with linen for a small cost. Overall a satisfactory experience.

A good location, right on the Esplanade. Very quiet and lovely surroundings. The units were very dated but otherwise OK. Cheaper than other similar accom. Bring your own shampoo and coffee/tea if staying more than a day or two.

The property was clean and tidy although dated. Staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. The downside was air conditioner was quite noisy and TV reception was none existent. Maybe a can of mosquito spray could be left in the cupboards =)

This place is in a good location if you're keen to explore KI. It is also within close proximity to Kingscote - which is only a 5 min drive down the road. This is where all your eating/restaurant/cafe/grocery options are ! The tourist park itself is a tad run down and needs a face lift. We stayed in one of their cabins that was very very average BUT we spent a majority of our time outside exploring and used the cabin only for sleeping so we weren't too fused putting up with it for two nights. I was a tad PO about the cleaning policy that they have in place. Essentially everything has to be clean and tidy like it was when you first walked in otherwise a cleaning fee is charged to your credit card. upon check out i was asked if everything was clean and put away and I replied "Yes, but we have dishes drying by the sink as we used them for breakfast" I was then told that I needed to return to my room to dry them and put them away. Talk about over the top. That's probably about the only weird thing we experienced as well as the long list of site rules advertised everywhere. They must have had some pretty feral/inconsiderate people stay at the park previously.

We offer 3 different Cabins/Units to cater for one's budget and requirements. All our Self Contained Units/Cabins request that you leave the room as you found it, as per Standard Australian practise. These Standard Australian policies have been in place for many years, not because our guests are feral or inconsiderate people, but because of many reasons, for example: language barriers. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is in orde. Verwacht in ieder geval zeker niet teveel comfort. Bedden waren prima in orde. Minpunt is de wifi. Alleen in een cirkel van ongeveer 30 meter rond het BBQ-punt heb je bereik, daarbuiten dus niet. Ligging aan het strand is prachtig. De pelikanen worden in de ochtend op het strand gevoerd.
