I'm sorry, but the only plus was the comfort of the bed and pillows. Had a great sleep. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and upon arrival was just greeted with Happy Anniversary. When we stayed at Mantra South Bank on our 5th Anniversary, they surprised us with a nice bottle of wine and an anniversary balloon. When we ordered room service we only had 4 choices for main on all day menu. Dry cheeseburgers and rubbery toasted sandwich, milkshakes without straws. $82.50 omg. Considering this venue is supposedly up market, we were not impressed at all. Will not be returning.

Check in experience was extremely slow. We were waiting up to 30 minutes before someone would assist us. Multiple staff walking around but no one attended to us or even gave a courteous ‘I won’t be a moment’.

Fine but wouldn’t rush back
The executive king room was spacious & comfortable but not cleaned well enough - there was a lot of hair throughout the room when we arrived, the carpets needed a better vacuum. A nice perk was having access to the exec lounge for drinks & nibbles in the evenings. The pool was extremely busy - not enough lounge chairs & definitely not enough shade for the amount of space around the pool. Many more umbrellas should be put out. Overall, our stay was fine but wouldn’t rush back to stay here.

disappointed and unnecessarily stressful~
Issue with parking .. constantly tried to charge me, even though they agreed not to... must have happened 4 times... constant grief and chased $40 wrongly...at every turn.. very stressful for what was meant to be a relaxing time! Events put on there for new years eve - mediocre to terrible! they should not put their name to events that are average and expensive.. would not stay there again!

We loved our stay at the star grand. We all enjoyed the pool. Didnt get to experience the pool on the upper level as kids enjoyed the larger pool with music etc. The whole hotel had a beautiful scent through it and was very clean. Breakfast at the harvest was extremely average but its a buffet so its what you'd expect. Kids absolutely loved the chocolate fountain and ice cream for breakfast. So much going on as its almost new years, we loved the hype. Staff were attentive and lovely (with broad shoulders, having to deal with high maintenance people and their silly unwarranted "complaints" staff deserve a medal for having to deal with people like this they handled it so professionally) thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. We would love to come back and stay again next time we are back in the gold coast.

With all the hotel options being developed at the casino, it's clear they've let the standards at the Crown drop. Paying for a car park on top of accommodation is a rort. Very confusing layout, and staff don't seem to know their way around either.

This is a casino with a hotel, not the other way around. Parking is a problem, and service fairly ordinary.

The Isoletta Pool Bar is sensational and the other pool area is also beautiful and very relaxing. All the staff were lovely and welcoming, check in and out was seamless and easy.
