There was alot of construction work happening around the hotel, they could have advised us or even put it on their website. Parking rates are expensive, other then that it was a great stay.

Great property close to everything and short walks to a lot of amenities. The construction cut off some of the areas and left the views less picturesque but still a beautiful place! Definitely would come again.

The reception staff and restaurant staff are in need on retraining on how to deal with hotel guests - a guest should never feel like they are putting the staff out by making simple requests. I was not impressed with the quality of service.

Has a beautiful location views are amazing. Resturant are very good. Hotel located to all transport such as Train, Taxi, Bus, and Ferry. No one will ever be disappointed. More Resturants around the streets. I really loved the place.

Disappointing experience. Nice hotel - but 1. There was a light piercing the darkness right above the bed that flashes every 5 seconds all night - and evidently in every room. Very disturbing to my sleep. 2. La Boca restaurant dinner was cold and staff did not offer to replace. I didn’t want to cause a fuss - and they did give comp drink - but poor food and service.

Overall a pretty good hotel! Very lush lobby and the rooms are fairly good. I’d recommend an update in the viewing options, in this day and age only having standard tv channels seems a little outdated. Prices were a bit high for standard food and the paid parking, if you could get a spot even after paying for it was a bit so so. The staff were pretty helpful and seemed quiet upscale, which was cool.

Unfortunately, it needs a lot of Reno’s to freshen up, It’s very tired. There was construction work occurring, outside the property, but was very loud. We had our child staying, but only received 2 towels and the shower head was appalling ,it was broken and not dispersing as a shower head should; instead it felt like we were under a garden hose. Unfortunately, not the stay we had hoped for.

We had a beautiful night away. The room was very tastefully done and I felt like I was in another era. So much nicer than the boring modern rooms in other hotles. It was a relaxing stay in such a great location. Close to the centre of the city for exploring but then it was so nice to be able to take refuge back in the hotel. Aircon was lovely. Just take your parking ticket with you to get verified at the reception.

Was nice but dated. Good location if you wana access that end of town. I got parking, breakfast n room for under $345 a night, good value. We went for la Boca Restuarant and was great.

The room was nice and we gott an upgrade because it was our 50th wedding anniversary. We also received a bottle of wine and some petit fours. Their new restaurant, La Boca lacked ambience though the food was ok The breakfast was very ordinary

There was no coffee plunger/ground coffee, only Instant Coffee - clearly not good enough. The bed was located in the wrong position (Room 715), not allowing easy view of the river. The bed should have been up against the wall. The concierge said she had booked a cab but clearly did not, so we were held up for an appointment on the first night. However, the package including breakfast was delightful, though parking was a bit stiff at $49 per night.

This hotel is no longer worth the cost. There is no valet parking and onsite parking is overpriced. The hotel info on the room tv say’s valet is available and more tv (Foxtel) channels than you actually get. The bathroom door in my room didn’t close fully and although I requested it to be fixed it wasn’t. I was not sharing with a family member so that was particularly important to us. I collected food scraps from the floor when we first arrived. Also the hotel offers $10 off per night if you don’t have your towels replaced. $10 only seems like a very token amount in relation to the room charge. There are better 5 star hotels nearby.

Our saying for our Brisbane stay is “ Sorry about that” because that is all we heard. Stayed 4 nights only got milk , 4 teabags and 6 coffees for the stay Cleaning staff maybe tried but could not understand me and reception and bar staff never followed through with our request for more and responded with “Sorry about that “ again and again. Sooooo disappointed. We stayed there many years ago and really looked forward to this visit. We’ll never go back Maybe too many short term staff for them to care 😭

Enjoyed my 2 nights stay at The Stamford. The room was well appointed and decorated, the river view from the room was lovely. A special mention to Heliot who’s service was outstanding. The AC in the room could have been stronger, it got hot in the night despite having the AC on. The parking is on the more expensive side at $49 per day. Other than this the location is fantastic and view of the story bridge from the pool great.

Great hotel in a good location.
Glad we chose this hotel. It was ideally placed for the Botanic Gardens but also close to the main shopping area. Great views of the river and the new footbridge being built. We arrived on foot from Central Station in the rain and Google sent us 'around the houses' when all we had to do was walk to the end of Edward Street and it's on the left! Good facilities and a wide choice for breakfast, which we had paid extra for. The only negative was no bathrobes in the room and no teabags or milk replaced after the first night, although that was quickly rectified by the receptionist. I would stay again.
