We arrived to this property and we were so disappointed. I don’t expect much. But the cleanliness of the rooms were disgusting. Shower was full of mound. Hair caught around the neck of the sink tap. There were smashed glasses and kitchen utensils on the balcony. I wouldn’t have put my dog on the sofa bed which we were expected to sit on in the lounge room. It was what we thought a self contained apartment. There wasn’t one teaspoon and only two forks and two knives. I would have thought that would at least be right. No globe in the spare room lamp. That isn’t hard. A very disappointing experience and we will not be returning.

The property is breathtaking located on 30th floor with excellent views. Centrally located to all the shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Clean and updated furniture with all the amenities.

Meriton (obviously owner let under different name)
The booking was a bit ambiguous as I had requested accom at Meriton Herschel St. However, when payment was made, it went to Airhome Brisbane apartments. Normally my Hotels.com booking goes direct to Meriton and check-in is done through their front desk reception. In this case, I received instructions to pick up keys at an Night Owl Convenience store a street block away. ( a bit inconvenient when one has a car, no where to park to collect keys, And no access Meriton car park without keys). On checking out, Keys had to be returned to same place. Which meant driving out of the building, trying to find a park near the Owl Convenience Store etc. Apart from this, the Meriton apartment was no different to the normal accom I’ve had there previously. Meriton apartment accom is first class. Beautifully appointed with all modern appliances and furnishings. The one advantage booking this “Airhome Apartments” Was that it included parking which is fairly expensive with Meriton. Personally, I’d be inclined to book direct with Meriton for my next stay. However, it did work out ok on this occasion, despite my worrying.

Very disappointed
The apartment was not as it appeared in the initial booking and both the dishwasher and the iron had issues. The iron had not been cleaned for some time, so after wasting time cleaning the surface, it then blew scale all over my shirt from the steam holes and later refused to work at all. Likewise the dishwasher was inoperable. The ironing board was little more than a 50cm table top version which is awkward and basically useless the one time the iron actually worked. Cleanliness of the apartment was not optimal, under the table runner (centrepiece of material or plastic in this case) on the dining table was food or some filth that indicated it had not been cleaned under for some time. The apartment was very noisy, especially at peak hour with traffic below. Overall this is not up to the standard you would expect with a hotel, and an extremely average airbnb type experience, which I would not have expected on the hotels.com site
