We wanted to support little towns and support the local community when we booked this accommodation. Realising, they would have had a massive hit to their business during the covid season. We did not care for the poorly maintained facility or the lock laundry. Most of the appliance in the challet appeared to be from verge collections. We can understand they would not have had sufficient capital to replace damaged equipment from unruley guests in the past.
What irritated us the most visiting this establishment was the absolute laziness to keep the place clean. Cobwebs everywhere, even in the utensil cabinets was filled with cobwebs, dirt in every corner of the place. No rubbish collection available for the entire week we were there. We tried to call the care taker on her land line and left a message on the mobile without any success. Tried to visit the reception twice and could not find anyone, nor was there anyway of them informing their guest about their whereabouts and how to contact them.
The second point of irritation were the cheeky notes littered in the kitchen and in the toilets. When one has no clue on how to present or operate a hospitality establishment, they should refrain keep such notes. Everyone has had a touch year, most want to feel welcomed.
Lastly, this establishment is not suitable for familes with kids under 5. This challet is a bit rich when you can find better for much less.
