Very clean, kid-friendly place to stay. We stayed in a villa which was equipped with a stove, oven, fridge and microwave. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The beach is just a minute’s walk away and provided us with a lot of fun. There’s a lovely outdoor pool with a baby pool for tiny tots. The water was a bit on the cold side, but we were there in the last week of September, so this might not be a problem in summer.
They have free wifi, but it was down while we were there, and Optus doesn’t really get coverage in this region. If you need to be connected while you’re there, maybe get a Telstra prepaid to cover your bases during your stay. That came in very handy for our family.
There’s a takeaway place a short distance from the park (a minute’s drive or an 8-minute walk), and a restaurant (Open only Thursday to Sunday, I think) next to it. There’s an IGA at Bawley’s Point which is a very short drive away. There’s another takeaway there, a pharmacy, a bakery, a bottle shop and a newsagent.
Overall, an excellent place for a family stay. I highly recommend it.
