Good location in the center of the city. Somewhat starkly decorated inside. There pump a smell throughout the hotel that is not great -- too perfumy in my view.

highly recommend it!
I arrived earlier than check-in time and they provided spa/swimming pool use and coffee at the lounge and the room was ready just in time. All staff was super attentive, friendly and accommodating. The moments restaurant was definitely the highlight of our stay. Excellent and professional dining experience. All in all, it was one of the most memorable stay!

Best hotel in BCN
It was a fabulous trip and service was truly exceptional. Special mention to Gabriel who sorted all our restaurants for us, Fernando who was so kind and Ines who was extremely helpful. Our room was constantly spotless. Location was perfect and we could walk to all the major sights. Breakfast was delicious. My one comment would be that the room was on the small side and we were overlooking some run-down buildings (not ideal). However, we were barely in the room and it was furnished to an exceptional standard. I have stayed at a few hotels in Barcelona (the W, Arts etc) and this is undoubtedly and deservedly the best.

Great location - easy walk to a lot of the sites. Wonderful spa. Nice, helpful staff. But...definitely didn’t feel up to par with other Mandarin Oriental hotels - bathroom door (a slider) would not close. Despite repeated requests for repair, it never was fixed. Broken glass on the floor upon checking into the room. Loud school yard/less than ideal view from the window (and noise beginning at 8 am).
