Good location, excellent if wanting to have a quiet break. Villa pool room nice and well maintained, could do with larger TV and better light controls. Clearly this property is still recovering from the COVID shut downs, does need better care of hedges, etc. which make the public areas behind the lobby look unkept. Limited dining choices at resort and outside, this is a property best visited if you have transport or rent a motorcycle.

Luxury Stay on A Beautiful Beach
The Villa came with a private pool and jacuzzi. Big and spacious room, clean and cozy. Staff were very friendly, the cafe by the beach was great and since it was low season, the beach was peaceful, quiet and clean.

Pros- Travelling with young children I loved that I could sit in the shade near the beach cafe whilst they could play in the sand also in the shade. This was my absolute favourite thing. The pool near the beach was decent and a good temperature. The beach was protected and private and was good for digging and paddling. Breakfast buffet was very good and there was a good amount of seating and choices of food. Our room was a good size and light and airy. The hotel were very helpful when I had a problem with my car. Cons- the shower temperature was temperamental and often cold, our water went off once totally and the toilet broke on another occasion. This was sorted quickly by the resort. The pool with pool access rooms was very cloudy and green, it seemed to have improved by the end of the week but we didn’t use this. Overall I would definitely stay again, the staff at the resort were lovely and helpful, the beach and pool and setting were idyllic. My children loved it and didn’t want to leave!

Beds and ac works well, the towels are frayed , the showers need a good cleaning, we had a 4 poster bed but the tv was in middle of a poster , the chairs at the pool and in the room are very uncomfortable, the grounds are not very well maintained, breakfast buffet is good but get there early they don’t replace anything,

Worth a visit
I was upgraded to a lovely pool villa. a great option for a family with one or two little ones. they can splash away in the small pool plus there's a jacuzzi to chill out in. The buffet breakfast had options for every palette. The property is definitely feeling the effects of a heavy rainy season, but that will not detract from your stay.

Overpriced
The hotel is fine. The food is fine. The services and amenities are fine. However, everything is overpriced. I am not upset with the hotel - it's fine, but it is overpriced. I would not stay here again. You can get more for less at other resorts. This resort is not competitive at all.

This hotel was in desperate need of face lift, old and tired, booked for 20 people 17 went, the welcome party was not good ask me to give them 7000baht for breakfast that i had already payed for in full. Totally unacceptable.

Great value pool villa
Pool villa is fantastic! Happy hour at the beach bar also great & lovely staff. A la carte menu in restaurant is pricey (as expected) but not particularly exciting and opted for the buffet dinner instead which was surprisingly brilliant

Seclude, serenity, peaceful. The room is so cute and feel like home. The bathroom is spacious, very clean. The pool is amazing they have one beachfront pool and one olympic pool. The ben bag at the beach bar is very comfortable. Will definitely come back, strongly recommend for all.

Excellent Hotel in a remote quiet location
Excellent Hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. It is a bit in a remote location and you definitely need a motobike to be mobile. The beach isn't great so I recommend to drive to another one. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The price for drinks are a bit high (100 baht for a soda water and 150 baht for coffee).

Had a great stay , great service, great food at the beach , the room was worth it , could be a bit more clean but it was still good but it could be more clean specially the jacuzzi , pool was good , jacuzzi was also slow to fill. But I would say over all was very satisfied with everything.

Fantastic​ stay
Everything was perfect, excellent sea view from the room, great food, professional staffs, quality breakfast, value of happy hour. I really enjoy Ms.Okscana (Ukrainian staff), she was really nice to me, she got a big smile and spend taking time with me at anywhere we meet up. I will be coming back again for sure!

The hotel is in a fantastic location right by a beautiful beach. The rooms look fabulous however it is a case of style over substance. The bed is on a platform which means that by the time you’re on the platform you’re effectively lying on the floor. Not much use at 3 am when you want to go for a Pee. Also there were no drawers in our room to store any of our clothes so we lived mainly out of a suitcase.

Located far south of Koh Chang. Not much going on but not far to travel (north or south to Bang Bao or busier beaches/resorts). Resort itself is looking worn/tired - definitely needs a refresh. Food service is good (breakfast specifically). The grounds need some attention. Food in the restaurant is overpriced.

Ignore the haters.. This hotel is great. Room large spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Bit odd with a step near the bed. Tripped. On it a couple times. Spa in all rooms I believe and grest view. The restaurant offers a great breakfast and with a very large selection at hotel prices. Should have more than 1 person making omelette. Waiting is annoying. U can also go next door to Harley Moon. Best value and seriously good breakfast. Pool and outdoors are grest. Location is secluded but that's what makes it great 2ks down the road is lucky beach.. The party town. Thats where backpackers and people On super tight budget stay. Would I come back YES.

For the most part, I had a wonderful stay at Mercure. The staff were kind and welcoming and the resort amenities were as described and pictured. A couple of drawbacks that were frustrating: After upgrading to a ocean view room, the hot water in the shower was temperamental, despite multiple attempts by the staff to fix it. Additionally, on my last day, as I was checkin out, I learned that the van I scheduled to take me back to the airport had not in fact been booked as I had arranged for at the front desk 2 days prior, leaving me scrambling to find my way back to the airport. Tom, who was at the front desk at that time, was extremely unhelpful and completely unempathetic to the fact that one of his colleagues had made an error. All he offered was a private car that was quadruple the price.

All the good of Koh Chang lost in this resort!
All the good things that you come to Thailand for are lost in this resort. Poor service, not even a "how was your stay?" on departure. you can see by every generic response to past poor reviews in how things are treated at this resort. I am pretty sure a wooden floor has more give than the standard room mattresses. Having stayed at Aana resort and Nest Sense on this trip I would stay well away, as both far more superior and welcoming. The only + is the beautiful little restaurant next door Lisca. Be sure to experience as not many come close.

Check in was very basic for a resort. The front desk staff was all business and not very friendly. We requested an ocean view and we were put in the ground floor below and behind the trees. There was very little ocean view. Property very old and worn out. Typical Thai standard. Old and run down.

Friendly staff but overall disappointing
The staff were very friendly but management has work to do. Kids loved the pool but the decking was in poor shape with loose boards and risk from splinters. There was a patchy response to requests for room cleaning including room service plates left outside for over 24 hours. I was not easy to manage two small children on the top floor without a lift. Hot water flow was not consistent and potentially dangerous when washing children. Food quality was disappointing but luckily we found nice restaurants close by. You get the picture! Not what we expected at a Mercure hotel.

Room with a view please !
The initial standard room had no window! Yes you are reading this correctly, ok for a lightning business trip but not for anyone wishing to enjoy a holiday, unless of course you wish to emulate the “ Bangkok Hilton “ which is of course a nickname for the famous prison, the room being void of a window is not detectable on the website and is discribed as a “ resort view “ which in itself suggests a window is in existence, unless of course they want you to stand on a chair and look through the air vent ! Sadly our complaint fell on deaf ears as they failed to upgrade us without the normal heafty surcharge, even though we did get a complimentary drink voucher and a free breakfast ( which should be included anyway ) The fact the hotel failed to satisfy us means they will be reading this review, instead of something more positive.

Only complaint I have is the beds were hard as a rock! Everything else was good. 15 min walk from Lonely beach and about a 20 min drive to white sand beach if you’re renting a scooter which I would recommend. It’s a fun drive

Excellent, but lack a sofa bed!
Pool villa large room and with nice pool 3x5 m but the small type of Sofa was difficult to convert to comfortable bed, Mercure should add a sofa bed to larger rooms for Families with Kids.
