Fabulous hotel, great customer service
The room was fabulous, spacious, very clean, mini-fridge, and self serve coffee station. Was on the 28th floor with a fabulous view of the city. The breakfast buffet was amazing.

As usual the Golden Tulip buffet breakfast was excellent and included in the room price too! The property is on a bus route from the aitrport. Big mall across the street. Clean room, friendly staff. Great value!

This hotel knows hospitality, the service was excellent, they allowed early check in and late check out. Generous with amneties and cleaning done to an excellent standard I was really impressed by the hotels standards. Friendly staff around the hotel and lots of services on offer i.e spa, gym, pool, onsite restaurant, prayer room etc.

Avoid this hotel if you are coming to enjoy your time and spent a nice vacation. I would highly recommend that you avoid this hotel, its the worst hotel i have ever checked in at, the A/C is so noisy in the room and I have asked the receptionist to switch my room and he actually did come to my room and said the whole rooms in this hotel comes this way, the furniture is very old, I wouldn't give this hotel 3 stars and I would highly recommend you to stay at a different hotel, the certain is teared and the carpet is very awful, moreover there is bugs in the room, and the toilet is very old and have water leakages everywhere and its not a 5 stars hotel cleanliness

Dated Hotel could use an update
The hotel was just so so. Nothing like it appeared on the pictures. Rooms had that dated early eighties feel. Beds were fair for comfort and the water only ever just got warm. Not hot. My electricity went out 3 times and it took them over an hour and a half to get it back on. Breakfast buffet was very good and likely the bright spot of the hotel. Location was good.

I was disappointed when I could not find an iron in the room to iron my clothes. Japanese restaurant is excessively expensive. I was upset with the parking lot. In the morning, the parking lot was locked and I could not find my way out. Even as a guest. The cleaning guy had to show me a shortcut to leave. Very disorganized for the guests.

The reception and restaurant staff are wonderfully friendly, and the housekeeping staff are flexible, polite and professional. We enjoy having a gym available, but wish it were better air-conditioned before 11 a.m. Still, the hotel is clean, quiet, beautiful and comfortable in every way. We stay at the Golden Tulip every time we go to Manama.

It took sometime to find the booking, got a different room type in the extension, ! The room is so old and the bathroom is rusty , nothing in the room except for two small water bottles! Idk why this hotel is rated as 5 stars in Expedia. I wouldn’t have paid half what I’ve paid for this service. It’s disappointing!!

Disappointing and tired
Room very tired, i.e. furniture somewhat "knocked around" being old and worn. Had to ask for consumables to be topped up on more than one occasion and things like dirty glasses and cups, after being taken away for washing, to be replaced or brought back. We were in Bahrain on business so had quite tight time scales. First 3 days the breakfast selection was excellent and readily available, on the 4th day there was a large influx of guests and the choices were significantly reduced with many of the previous items no longer available. We were then offered food specially prepared which wasn't a solution as this took considerable time and we had appointments to keep. However, my wife being lactose intolerant had soya milk specially provided which was very much appreciated. Parking whilst being adequate could be improved as it is very limited close to the hotel.
